Happy New Year!!!
As the calendar flips to 2026, it may take a few weeks to adjust to the new cosmic atmosphere. In fact, I’m waiting a bit before I finally paste together my vision board because new ideas are popping up every day. And, our first Supermoon of the year on Saturday, January 3rd, will shine even more light on the months ahead.
There hasn’t been a year this energetically “new” in well over a decade. Pulling together the themes from numerology, the lunar calendar, and astrology… It’s mind-blowing. And, the key astrological shift of the year ahead– when Saturn and Neptune come together at 0° Aries– hasn’t happened since 593 BC!
Fresh starts are here, and momentum will pick up speed in the first four months of 2026. Take the reins in life, follow your intuition, revel in your creativity, and commit to your mission. If you don’t know exactly how your big dreams will come to life, you’ll learn as you go, and your confidence will grow.
Given everything we’re going to talk about today, I have two big notes that will help you take the fullest advantage of every moment. They’re not revolutionary, but they’re more important than ever:
Make great sleep a top priority. You need energy to make big breakthroughs. Doors are opening… but we have to walk through them. Opportunities are on the way, but we have to be ready to claim them. To optimize your sleep time, Deep Sleep Feng Shui is linked here for you.
And, keep decluttering. Even if you just shred a few papers or toss a few things, try to do a little clutter clearing every day. It will catalyze more flow in your life. You need lots of space in your home and life to receive all the abundance headed your way.
Now, let’s explore the big shifts and monumental energies of 2026!
THE UNIVERSAL YEAR #1
A brand new numerological cycle begins on January 1st, and its hallmarks are boldness, independence, bigger dreams, and more tenacious action. Also, this is a year to be curious, excited, and have a lot of fun.
If you used to get excited as a kid for the first day of school or the start of summer holidays, that’s the essence of the Universal Year #1. You sense that everything is possible and magical. You’re more present, curious, and ready to have an adventure.
Do a deep housecleaning as you envision your dreams coming true. Many New Year traditions around the world focus on cleaning to prepare for a new beginning. To maximize your money magnetism, make sure to wash your front and back doors, and sweep the path (steps, walkway, hallway) that leads to your front door.
Make a big piece of art– bolder the better– for a room you visit often. Right about now, you may think, “No, that’s not for me. I’m not an artist.” But stick with me here. You are creative. This year is ultra-creative.
And, it’s easy to make a piece of abstract art with very few supplies, plus there are thousands of DIY videos and blog posts to explore. Based on the hundreds of times my non-artist clients have made their own art, I can tell you the rewards are enormous. You can do it!
THE LUNAR NEW YEAR OF THE FIRE HORSE
The Year of the Wood Snake is wrapping up in the next six weeks. You might want to take advantage of the Snake’s energy now to complete unfinished business lingering in your life. Then, the Year of the Fire Horse gallops in on February 17th, 2026.
The Fire Horse year is as dynamic as it sounds– unbridled and free, energetic and enthusiastic, trotting ahead with momentum, and blazing new trails. There’s no time to wait, procrastinate, or overthink– The Fire Horse will always find a way to move forward. Paired with the fierce leadership energy of the #1 Universal Year, the Fire Horse is supercharged.
Create some space for a meditative practice. When you have a comfortable spot set up to meditate, daydream, journal, or even do some restorative Tai Chi or yoga, you will do it much more often. As life heats up with action and adventure, this will be your sacred space to tap in and recharge.
Add more Earth energy to your whole home. Nature keeps you calm and focused, which is super-important as the pace of life picks up. Clay pots, dishes, or mugs, blankets in natural fabrics (wool, cotton, flax, etc), or an indoor tree or two will add nature vibes. Any and all natural decor will make you and your space feel fantastic.
THE ASTROLOGY IS EPIC ALL YEAR LONG
We’ll dive deeper throughout the year, but here are a few of the big events ahead, and ways we can start working with the energy at home right now:
Neptune in Aries begins on January 26th. It’s time to think big, create even bigger, and expand your intuition. Pay attention to your flashes of insight, signs from the Universe, and brilliant ideas– they’ll guide you to experience huge breakthroughs.
Saturn in Aries starts on February 13th. Your ambition and imagination get organized and take shape as projects, plans, and products. You aren’t just dreaming this year… you are doing the things you dream about!
And, the Saturn/Neptune Conjunction in Aries– the wow factor energy of 2026– is February 20th. The last time Saturn and Neptune joined forces was in 1989 in the sign of Capricorn, and we experienced historic events like the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Cold War. This time, in the fire sign of Aries that symbolizes the birth of the new, it will be wild to see what unfolds in the world.
Create or upgrade an altar in your home that reminds you of the magic in life. It may be a religious or spiritual altar where you pray or meditate, or it could be a creative altar full of inspiration, or a family altar full of mementos and photos. Even the act of creating your special shelf, nook, mantle, or altar area can be life-expanding.
Polish all your mirrors with extra intention. Your mirrors are magical expanders of energy, too. They double everything they see. Clean mirrors with a 50-50 mix of white vinegar and water, and you’ll clear negative energy from your home while your mirrors sparkle and shine.
Uranus enters Gemini on April 25th. Uranus brings quick changes and innovation in the sign of Gemini, especially in how you communicate and use technology.
Digital detox. With robots, AI, and all kinds of technology flooding the world, it’s vital to stay balanced in your life away from devices. Set timers for your social media use to remind you to stop scrolling. Or, try a week without any recreational internet to clear your mind.
Consider limiting your time on Wi-Fi. Pop your phone into Airplane Mode when it’s not in use, talk more on speaker instead of using a headset, and take your computer off WiFi when you’re not using it.
Unplug from devices, and you’ll plug into your superpowers. I’ve barely looked at my phone screen in days, and I haven’t felt this great in ages.
THE COLOR OF THE YEAR IS… WHITE
The last few Pantone Colors of the Year were utter disappointments, and this one is not much better. But, there’s something to be said for the symbolism and energy of white– specifically Cloud Dancer, a shade of white that’s similar to the tone of an unprimed painting canvas.
Approach this year like a clean slate or an empty canvas. When you show up every day willing to use your creativity and take a whole lot of inspired action, you can create masterpieces in your life.
This is a year where you can make masterpieces, huge breakthroughs, and experience stunning success in every way you define it.
