This upcoming New Moon will herald in Eclipse season, as the subsequent Full Moon will be a Solar Eclipse.
The whole of Virgo season will be bookended by New Moons in Virgo. From 0° to 29° of the entire sign!
The upcoming (first) New Moon packs a punch.
It makes a square to Uranus in Gemini. Both the New Moon and Uranus are ruled by Mercury, which has just completed a retrograde. Mercury is still moving through its shadow degrees, wrapping up and finalising what has had a second review during the retrograde.
The Sun Virgo and Mercury Leo are in Mutual Reception.
Uranus Gemini making a square, may add a surprise twist to what has emerged from the Mercury retrograde. New information (Gemini) may come out of left field (Uranus).
It may be the something else that Mercury retrograde alone didn’t factor in, not anticipated, or has not been completed yet. Uranus could add an interruption.
Virgo is sharp, precise, analytical, detailed, especially as the New Moon will be at a strong degree of 0°. With Uranus, it may feel like a laser beam of clarity, but one that may be unexpected.
It may be a breakthrough, epiphany, a light bulb moment – if the light bulb was a strobe light! Maybe even an accidental discovery of new data. Uranus rules lightning, things could happen that fast.
Mercury leaves shadow two days later on 25th Aug at 15°35′ Leo. Just as you think all the conclusions are wrapping up, Uranus chucks in a missing jigsaw piece (that you didn’t know even existed!) but that makes the Virgo picture now accurate.
The combination of Virgo/Uranus Gemini, may add a highly strung energy to it, quite a nervy jumpy antsy feeling. This is not a New Moon that is relaxing.
The bigger part of this, is the rather obvious Finger of God formation, with some heavyweight planets – and inconjunct to Pluto Aquarius, and inconjunct Saturn/Neptune Aries.
Finger of God aspects mainly denote one major theme – destiny.
Saturn/Neptune/Pluto have been at the 1° – 2° for most of this year, so it would link to all the themes that have unfolded gradually over several months. The Apex being the New Moon itself.
Jupiter trine the North Node may amplify the destined feeling. What’s the destiny? We may not know until the time comes.
Virgo is about correction, so it could be about destined course correction. Fine-tuning fate like a Swiss watch.
I feel this New Moon will be a doorway into the Eclipse season, but with Uranus that doorway may be blasted open in a flash! Things may move quickly, and may be very changeable and unpredictable (Mutable signs)
