Mars Mahadasa resumes for India Sept 11th 2025.
This arrives after Moon Vimshottari Mahadasa which operated since Sept 2015.
This natal ‘swagrahi’ Moon conjunct with 4 other planets, being involved in “Pushkala’ yoga & ‘Panchagrahi’ yoga ‘super-charged the 3rd house of efforts & neighbors’ with spiritually elevated action; was further benefitted by being in the 11th house of gains from the Arudha Lagna.
Major political shifts, mass social changes were to arise due to this during this period.
●From Sept 2025 Vimshottari Mars Dasa ensues for 7 years. The warrior planet Mars posited in the 2nd house as the 7th & 12th lord attracts Maraka Dosha, threatens the oncoming 7 years prone with ‘health disturbances’ or ‘Physical strife” (2nd & 7th having maraka properties).
On the positive side this Mars causes the soli-lunar ‘Vosi” and ‘Anapha” Yogas, which attract good support from the universe; Additionally fortified by its position in the 10th (seat of power) from the Arudha Lagna!! influencing the 2nd house of finance, national wealth, resources, speech, vision, but also attracting aggression.
● Moving away from the usual limits of Vedic Astrology to the extra Saturnine planets namely Uranus, Neptune & Pluto, we get a peculiar formation of these planets; which are co incidentally or otherwise in 7 degrees, at present, respectively in Taurus, Pisces & Capricorn!!
●The Lagna of the India Independence chart is also in Taurus 7 degrees; The oncoming Dasa lord Mars also is!! If this is pushed away as co-incidence, it’s a very rare and telling co-incidence of sorts!
●Transit URANUS, the outer planet of sudden change, rebellion, freedom, innovation and higher awareness, also considered the ‘GREAT AWAKENER’ which often shakes up old structures, disrupts routines and forces breakthroughs!!! Affecting governance style and the country’s “face” to the World. Should we expect surprises in leadership, technology, and public reforms? Sudden shifts in alliances or ideology are common, besides deep changes in the Judiciary.
The transit Uranus Is EXACTLY degree conjunct India’s Lagna at the seventh degree Taurus; which I repeat.
●Transit NEPTUNE at Pisces 7 degrees (in very close conjunction with transit Saturn) in India’s 11th house of gains in perfect aspect (degree sextile) to India’s Lagna. While Neptune here betray confusion, disillusionment, or idealistic promises in politics; point to mass protests or visionary but impractical reforms; BUT Saturn conjunct here adds to temper/restrict Neptune’s Idealism with Harsh Realities. Restriction and restructuring of alliances, party politics, and parliamentary conduct. Together, both may point to mass movements and crackdowns, as well as reshaping of India’s alliances (domestic and international).
●Transit PLUTO (The planet of total transformation) at Capricorn at 7 degrees in the ‘Bhagyasthana’/Luck of India is also perfectly degree aspecting India’s Lagna through trine. Deep transformations in judiciary, higher education, religion, and international relations may be expected; which usually coincides with pressure from global institutions, ideological conflicts, or rewriting of constitutional/legal frameworks. 9th house Pluto transits often bring challenges from abroad and shifts in national philosophy.
●Collectively, the stress falls on financial policy, taxation, national reserves, currency stability, and even food/agriculture regulations, National Security & India’s voice/position Internationally!!
Mars Dasa (2025 – 2032) may increase aggression, militarisation; legal changes; financial reforms/crisis being in the 2nd house. India becomes more assertive, militarized, and financially risk-exposed.

♣ Finally, coming to the Timings in Astrology= the wider orbit for these changes is between April 2024 – Feb 2027. The Challenges being Strong “illusion vs reality” test.
April – June 2024= triggering the initial theme of need for transforming, due to an event.
Jan/Feb 2025= Deepening/altering the transforming journey, a turning point in the need to transform.
Proper movement begins April/May 2025.
15 Aug – Oct 2025 = Clarifying or beginning to resolving starts; Integration & Clarity.
Dec 2025=Cementing lessons learnt & marking closure of the need to transform, and understanding how to go about it.
May 2026 – Feb 2027 – The real process. The deep, confusing restructuring. The need for Balance!
Challenges Sept 2025 – 2027= war-like tensions, economic restructuring, political upheaval, and mass-illusion movements, conflict pressures, economic upheaval, grand promises vs disillusionment, and major restructuring.
