1. Firstly, forget about signifiers either applying to or being tucked inside angles. It means nothing, despite the fact that Frawley regards it as the strongest testimony
2. You have to reverse part of fortune in night charts. Frawley doesn’t even give a explanation for why he doesn’t use the reverse formula, he just says that he uses the same formula for night and day. This is totally illogical, PoF has always been reversed in night charts.
3. Do not use antiscia. They do not work in sports charts
4. Forget about the depositor of fortuna, it doesn’t matter
5. If the first house for a given team is Cancer, the moon is the signifier for that team. Do not use a replacement signifier
6. Saturn is not necessarily bad when applying to a given angle. It depends on Saturn’s dignity. Saturn in good dignity applying to an angle, especially in the D9 chart (we’ll get to that later) is a strong testimony in favor of that team. Same goes for the Sun and Mars.
7. Pluto on the angles doesn’t matter
8. Moon on an angle is only a testimony for that team if the moon is applying to that angle. It doesn’t do anything if it’s already passed
9. The PKY and SKY yogas are important
10. Lunar aspects to fortuna, other than conjunctions or oppositions, don’t matter
11. Neptune on PoF is a testimony against the favorite, although perhaps not as strong of a testimony as with Pluto
12. Most importantly: you need to use the D9 chart. The D9 chart overrules the D1 (main) chart. The D9 chart should be read the exact same way that you read the Rashi chart
Now you still need to practice, there is a lot to apply and you need to do some trial and error but the above principles will serve you well. Also, remember to avoid betting on games where multiple other games are going on in the same area at the same time. The more eminent and exclusive the game is, the more likely the charts are to have an impact
One other thing, astrological sports betting is a horrible way to make money. I lost a ton of money while I was still figuring out how to do it. I’m not saying you can’t make money doing sports astrology, but you need to carefully track your wins and losses and have a good money management system, and you should never plan to earn a living off of it. Let me give you an example: tonight I bet 4 NBA games, each bet for $25. I won 2 and I lost 2 (the two I lost were the Sixers at +460 and the Hornets at +1400, big underdogs rarely hit regardless of what the chart says), so I netted $20. That’s an okay night but what if I had lost 3, or even 4? And you will have days like that, no matter how good you are. So if you are gonna bet, be very careful
