For those of you who are interested in calculating Incarnation Times but who do not have the knowledge, technology, or know-how of how to do so, here are some things you can do:
1) Familiarize yourself with the physical and mental traits of all 12 ASC signs.
While the Sun sign is significant and shows one’s character, spirit, skeleton structure (from a physical standpoint), and where one’s main source of energy is focused and directed, the ASC shows what can be observed via the senses in one’s personality, behavior, body build (including the head shape) participation in activates, etc. It’s what overlays the skeleton structure of the body (the Sun), whereas the Moon reflects one’s attitude and emotional intelligence. If you do not know your physical birth time, identifying your Incarnation time would be more difficult because opposite signs (e.g., Gemini & Sagittarius) are mirror images of one another with some similarities. However, the differences are distinct and should be discernable. The position of planets and aspects in a horoscope should provide you with clues. I outline description of each ASC on my website with the verified Incarnation Times/charts of various celebrities.
2) Familiarize yourself with the deeper meaning of the houses.
Doing so will help you determine whether a planet is really in one house or another (going backwards). House meanings are much more than key words, for there are present, future, and past-tense orientations to every house as well as existences vs effects in the quadrants. For instance, Quadrant 1 – covering the 1st, 2nd, 3rd houses – pertains to inner existences & existing personal conditions in meeting basic needs of living. Quadrant 2 – covering 4th, 5th, and 6 houses – pertains to inner influences & impacts that lead to personal change.
To give just one example of the inseparable interplay and relationship between the cause-effect relationships of all the houses, I’ll cover the 3rd and 6th houses. Whereas the 3rd house of inner existences relates to induction, one’s experiences, Deja vu, ability to get along and cooperate with others in the local vicinity (a mutable quality) – all deriving from past-tense sources – the 6th house of inner effects shows the consequences of 3rd house activities in the sense that it relates to deduction or the application of past knowledge and lessons learned back in the 3rd house and how one uses same toward personal work and accomplishments beneficial to the self.
It’s important that one understand all of the intricacies involved not only in these but of how all of the houses tie together, including inner and out realities and effects.
3) Look to and include declinations.
These are significant and actually are stronger and often more important than aspects in longitude! No horoscope can be verified without them, because they play such an important role in astrological aspects as well as traits that stand out in individuals (but not known because one is just looking at a horoscope from longitude).
4) Learn rectification really well
This will come in use when verifying significant life events via progressions (namely, Naibod Right-Ascension day-for-a-year secondary progressions). When the horoscope is confirmed, every important event in your life will be matched by relevant aspects within 30-minutes or less (most are within 15-minutes – that’s 00°00′ to 00°30’ max!).
The easiest and fastest way is to learn the first three (ASC, deeper house meanings, and declinations).
Once you are able to ascertain which ASC really matches your personality (this can be at an earlier degree of the same ASC shown according to your PBT or one to two signs back!) AND have an overall idea of the accurate planetary house positions, you are more than half-way toward verifying your Incarnation Time. However, for those who don’t have the technology or know-how to calculate Incarnation Times, there is a technique you can apply and you can do it one of two ways:
(a) Calculate 10 charts within 3-degree increments (02°…05°…08°….29°) and make sure each degree of the ASC is 15′ minutes within the sign (02°15’…05°15′) – this is because progressions have been shown to be accurate within a maximum of 00°30′ or less so as you test your charts, you’ll be able to determine whether you need to move below or above the 15′ (minute) mark until you get to the exact degree and minute of your correct ASC.
(b) Calculate 30 charts using the 15′ within each sign (00°15’…01°15’…02°15’…03°15’…29°15′). This involves a lot more work and leaves no stoned unturned. But it shouldn’t be necessary if you have a good idea of where the planetary placements in your chart (including declination planets and parallels to the ASC/DSC, MC/IC angles) should be.
