WEEK 18 RUNS FROM WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30 TO TUESDAY, MAY 6.
NOTE 1: WEEK 18 is a 9 WEEK (1+8=9), in a 9 YEAR (2+0+2+5=9).
It is said that life is a balance of holding on and letting go, which is quite evident as we travel the 9 global year of 2025. If we try to move forward and hold on to the past at the same time, all we achieve is stagnation. To move forward, we have to release our grip and LET GO of what is keeping us locked in this cruel, deceptive, self-destructive system. And we have to HOLD ON to our ability to CARE. 9 represents EMPATHY and GENEROSITY.
Another function of 9 is to give us an emotional jolt – to wake us up and make us look at what we’ve been unable or unwilling to see. WEEK 18 is a time of HONESTY and REALISM.
WEEK 18 is the 6th week of a 7-week cycle in which all the Week Numbers are KARMIC TEEN NUMBERS, involving major evolutionary lessons. This usually involves today’s teenagers in a significant way, but also affects older people by triggering memories and feelings from their own teen and young-adult experiences.
So, regardless of your age, what you see, hear, or sense in present time can produce alternating reflections of who you used to be and who you are becoming. Being in the past, present, and future simultaneously can feel confusing, but it is a natural response to the changes taking place in the way you perceive yourself.
9 helps you experience the joy and inspiration that occur when you finally LET GO of who you used to be, and allow yourself to be a stronger, more informed, and more authentic you. This is more difficult to achieve for some than it is for others, especially those whose authentic selves are judged “unacceptable” to what we lazily call “society”. Remember the old saying: “It takes all sorts to make a world.”

Only by looking at our lives through the lens of our own experiences can we know who we are and why we are here. Our personal history contains the lessons we most need to learn. Being honest with ourselves creates self-acceptance – a state of inner balance which opens our minds to new information and possibilities. 9 takes us back to the past – so we can learn from history and not make the same mistakes again. MAY is the 5th month, and 5 also focuses on past mistakes, and the valuable experience that can be gained from them.
All the atrocity, chaos, hatred, cruelty, and destruction going on in the world today are extensions of what, so far, has been a never ending cycle. They are the effects of causes that we did not have the knowledge or the WILL to put right and heal from. They are the result of learning nothing from past experience.
On that note, 55 years ago, on MAY 4th, in the 18th week of 1970, at Ohio’s KENT STATE UNIVERSITY, the U.S. National Guard penetrated a student protest which opposed the expansion of the Vietnam War into Cambodia. They were also protesting the presence of the National Guard on campus, and the compulsory draft into military service. It took just 13 seconds for the National Guard to kill 4 unarmed teenagers, and severely injure 9 more.
The lessons of that day were clearly unlearned – because now, 55 years later, the POWER OF YOUNG PEOPLE is back in the spotlight, along with their natural urge to protest injustices and atrocities. Student dissent is being criminalized by a government that is terrified of the changes that young people demand. The protests at Columbia which were ongoing at this time last year, were against the genocide of the Palestinian people, and the students demanded that the university divest from companies and organizations linked to Isreal. Their heartfelt efforts touched the hearts of young people around the world, and by April 2024, the Free Palestine encampments had spread to an estimated 180 universities, globally. But the heavy-handed attempt to silence FREE SPEECH continued – as did the atrocities. Free Speech – open expression – is the basis of FREE WILL.
May 4 in this 9 YEAR is an 18/9 DAY (5+4+9=18=9), in an 18/9 WEEK . So, affairs of the past will be vivid on this date, provided we do not consciously go unconscious (denial). 9 = consequences, outcomes, summing up, reaping what we sow – aftermath. Meaningful change will not come through the same old ideologies, people, and alliances, which brought us to where we are now.
In this 9 WEEK / 9 YEAR, and throughout 2025, the old must give way to the new. For as long as the old refuses to let go, the new cannot find a foothold. However, in these evolutionary times, as the secretive masculine 1 millennium gives way to transparent feminine 2, the harder it becomes for 1 to withstand the intense pressure of natural change. 9 is the number of LETTING GO in order to move forward.
The old powers are doing everything they can to remove the past from our memories, by erasing history, and destroying any outlet which could uncover the truth about how the old system works, and who actually controls it.
Karmic 18/9 craves power, position, and recognition. Its biggest fear is having no power, position, or recognition. When selfishness (1) and greed (8) combine, they can squeeze LOVE right out of a situation so that hate is all that’s left. Even the most obvious truths are denied, and even the most intelligent people can be fooled by the loudest or most persistent voices.
1 also represents the ego (sense of self), and when the ego is balanced, the need to dominate is replaced with genuine confidence, and a sense of ease and fulfilment. And when 8 truly appreciates what it already has, satisfaction and contentment replace greed and bullying. A balanced ego means having a realistic understanding of both your strengths and your weaknesses. And appreciation increases the value of what you already have.
However, because 1 and 8 are such material numbers, they remind us just how catastrophic environmental matters have become, and how human beings are so slow to grasp the severity of this self-destructive disconnect between ourselves and the natural world. To re-connect, we must accept that we are not separate from Mother Nature, but are part of her – and LEARN how to interact with her in a mutually sustaining way.
Since 1 and 8 represent the EGO, and with the most over-inflated egos on Earth now in positions of enormous power, it is only a matter of time before they CLASH – as egos are known to do.
Discussions of mental health (especially during and after Covid), became more acceptable among ordinary people, but the mental health of the super-rich and ultra-powerful was barely approached at all. The unchecked power that accompanies Mega-wealth can replace a moral compass with the delusion of superiority, and an existence in which no one can say “no” to them. Their money can buy anything they want, but the more delusional they are, the more outrageous or depraved their wants become. Despite such enormous riches, true happiness eludes them. Mega-wealth can produce a dangerous form of boredom, driven by constant dissatisfaction (insatiable greed).
The delusional mental illness of megalomania (which is defined as: “an obsession with power, wealth, fame, and a passion for grand schemes”, has always existed, but I don’t think it’s ever been as widespread and consequential as it is now, with criminally insane people in positions of massive power, for which they are noticeably unqualified, shaping the world as they want it to be, with no regard for people or planet. With the mind so tightly focused on money, power, and being #1, nothing new can be learned.
When 18/9 is active, we are often confronted with our own habits, behaviors, beliefs, or attitudes, that we stubbornly hold on to, even though we know deep down they are detrimental to our personal development – and perhaps to other people. 18/9 can help us let go of these old patterns and take a different route. Only then can our true colors shine, and our true potential be realized.
18/9 produces profound feelings as old situations break down. This can make you feel abandoned and forced to face the problem alone. But it would be unreasonable to expect people to fully understand what you’re going through – since so much of it is occurring within – and perhaps they too are going through their own experience.
Your current experience with emotion can make you eager for more personal freedom so that you can live by your own design. It is frustrating when things do not happen fast enough, too fast, or in the precise way you want them to, but now that the whole world is moving into a phase of rapid emotional evolution, you have reason to be more confident. You are not as alone as you may think.
NOTE 2: Your weekly forecast repeats as a daily forecast on SUNDAY, MAY 4. This repetition occurs when the month and day add up to 9. (5+4=9). 9 represents endings, completion, compassion, and letting go in order to move forward. Feelings and circumstances intensify on these dates, and because this double-9 phenomenon is happening in a 9 WEEK and a 9 YEAR, the intensity is likely to be a lot stronger than usual.
