The longstanding thread in Electional & Event Astrology, Astrology of the Moscow Murders discusses several approaches to the astrological analysis of these tragic events including alternate possibilities, and the work of a number of members over a period of years. Anyone interested in the crime examined astrologically from multiple points of view is referred there as well. While all astrological examinations are welcome in this thread, please do not introduce arguments concerning speculative or alternate facts about the case here.
Of the five principal individuals in the case, the four victims and the current suspect, timed birth data is only available for one of them. Although the official investigations have reconstructed a fairly convincing timeline for the crime, various other timelines have been proposed over the course of the past two and a half years and continue to be argued. The timing of some events in the story is still changing as further information becomes available. These uncertainties make the job of astrological analysis of the events very challenging.
Despite that, much information is available. Some of it can be timed to the second, and a lot of it to the minute, thanks to modern communication technology. GPS positioning software enables us to pinpoint locations for more accurate geolocation of charts. The use of astrological software and developed techniques enable us to exploit what data we do have.
This thread is intended to apply a range of astrological techniques to the case, based on actual facts as revealed by court documents and verifiable objective evidence. Given the subjectivity inherent in astrological analysis itself, we feel it is necessary to limit the uncertainties of the case in this way as much as possible. Again, alternate or speculative possibilities and non-astrological discussion is referred to the two threads identified above, and may be moved or deleted from this one at the discretion of the moderators.
Out of respect for the victims, their families, the accused, and other persons in this case, this writer will not refer to anyone by name unless that is absolutely unavoidable. The accused in this case is afforded the full presumption of innocence unless or until his guilt is determined by a court of law. That presumption will be extended to other individuals as well, friends, family, neighbors, roommates, investigators, officials or anyone in any other relationship to the principals.
