On May 26th, the New Moon occurred in Gemini, prompting a new beginning. This lunation brought a fresh start to our lives, prompting a new beginning, particularly with our communications and mental orientation. We carry this energy into the month of June. By consciously tuning in to positive Gemini energy, we learn through others simply by being curious, and we improve our social and communication skills at the same time. We open our minds to more information, and we learn to truly enjoy the variety of different personalities around us. Read more about this New Moon on its calendar page.
On June 9th, Jupiter enters Cancer, and we place more value on our homes and family, heritage, and traditions, as well as laying down roots, gut instincts, and security. We see opportunities to grow and succeed through emotional channels, expanding our own foundations, and building our families. We are more inclined to believe that emotional intelligence is the major keys to solving problems. Connecting intimately is valued.
Jupiter is in Cancer from June 9th, 2025, to June 30, 2026. Read more about Jupiter entering Cancer in the calendar.
On June 11th, a Full Moon occurs in the sign of Sagittarius. It brings sudden awareness to our lives, particularly of areas that require more balance. This lunation reminds us of the need to reach out beyond our usual routines, thought patterns, and neighborhoods. The Full Moon in Sagittarius is a time of expansion. As such, we should be especially aware of what we’d like to promote at this time, trying to put aside or out of our minds those things that won’t serve us well if blown out of proportion.
This Full Moon harmonizes with Mars, bringing a sense that if we put some effort into our pursuits, we’ll get results. It’s a strong influence for energy and motivation. Read more about this Full Moon on its calendar page.
On June 15th, Jupiter forms a square with Saturn, and circumstances present us with an opportunity for personal or professional growth, although the rewards may be delayed. We must restructure our lives or plans in accordance with rules, laws, limits, and the demands of reality. Ultimately, this process can lead to a stronger, more resilient version of ourselves or our projects. This can be a time of temporary fluctuating finances, increased personal commitments, sudden obstacles to our goals, energy dips, or ups and downs with our faith/outlook. We might ask ourselves, “Why am I doing this?” What for?” or “What’s the point?” more frequently. There can be a sense that we’re not in the right place at the right time during this phase.
This is its final of three perfections. The first occurred in August 2024, and the second in December 2024. During this period, it is crucial to breathe new life into old plans rather than strike out with a new plan altogether. We may need to make sacrifices in one area of our lives to grow in another. It’s important not to overextend ourselves now and to avoid attempting easy fixes or shortcuts. The need to adjust our expectations is a natural part of the process, and with patience and perseverance, we can confidently navigate current obstacles and challenges. On June 18th, Jupiter forms a square with Neptune, and some feelings of disillusionment can come now as our dreams and ideals can be put to the test. Questioning our faith in our dreams can lead to a lack of follow-through, wasteful activities, and avoidance of responsibilities. Ideally, this crisis leads to a realignment of material goals and spiritual ideals as we assess what is truly meaningful to us. Financial restrictions may seem to block our plans, or we could feel a sudden lack of inspiration. Circumstances can force us to face issues we’ve been avoiding or putting off, or deal with addictions, money drains, and other behaviors that have been dragging us down. Sacrifices could be necessary to gain materially or spiritually. It’s important to simplify and detoxify, but also to reach out to others for support and guidance. With this outer-planet transit with longer-term influence, it will be important to take a hard look at our addictions, fears, and attitudes that have us chained to situations and keep us from growing. With Jupiter quincunx Pluto on June 24th, the need to make adjustments to our plans or to weed out excessive or unrealistic elements in our lives can become obvious. This influence can stir up moral dilemmas and concerns or challenges brought about by the mishandling of power. Something might challenge our belief system, and the need for an adjustment in attitude may arise, or we might have to face restrictions and narrow-mindedness in others (or in ourselves). It’s not yet apparent how to solve these problems.
On June 25th, the New Moon occurs in Cancer, prompting a new beginning, particularly with our personal lives, home, and family. This is a time for feeding our foundation — all of that which we call home, including the foundation we’ve built inside ourselves, needs to be tended to and honored. It’s a time to recognize the importance of our family and our personal circle of friends and the security, sense of belonging, and safety we derive from them.
This New Moon aligns with Jupiter and harmonizes with Mars, creating positive and confident energy behind our new beginnings. However, it also forms a quincunx to Pluto and a square to the upcoming Saturn-Neptune alignment, complicating things greatly. As much as we want to push ahead with our plans, there can be personal obstacles and blocks primarily related to our independence and personal plans, as well as nagging concerns and fears in our social lives to manage.
