Venus Retrograde 10°50′ Aries – 2nd March 2025

The Venus Retrograde chart contains a mega-stellium of planets in Pisces/Aries: Sun, Saturn, Mercury, North Node, Neptune Pisces, bridging over to the Moon, Venus, Chiron Aries. That’s EIGHT planets bundled up between 11° Pisces and 20° Aries!

Venus is in Detriment in Aries and in a wide approaching square to its ruling planet Mars.

Mars stations direct the previous week on Feb 23rd but will be very slow moving – barely 12 minutes since the station, so its super heightened in strength and potency.

Mars is in its Fall in Cancer. Interestingly, Venus is conjunct the Moon Aries (ruling Cancer) and the Moon forms a Mutual Reception: Moon Aries – Mars Cancer.

Venus is supported by a sextile aspect to Jupiter, both benefics in a harmonious aspect. However, there is little mitigation as both planets are in Detriment. Jupiter is outweighed by both Venus and Mars stationary and heightened, both in their signs of Detriment/Fall, both are in orb of a square. This indicates three things: conflicts, conflicts, and more conflicts.

The Venus retrograde takes over from Mars completed retrograde, so this phase is very much about going back to the past, looking in hindsight, reviewing old or severed connections. Looking at how to reconcile after an argument, a severing of ties, estrangement, even animosity, bitter feuds, and long-held grudges.

Old anger will feature heavily in this, whether direct and outright (Aries), or more subtle and passive-aggressive (Cancer). This could play out in romantic relationships past and present, or in family dynamics, especially involving the mother, matriarchal figures, the maternal lineage, even the motherland.

It’s conflict resolution on steroids! And conflicts which may be perceived as nigh on impossible hope of resolving. Especially as Venus will transition to the more combative, warrior-like Morning Star phase.

Jupiter Gemini is hovering over similar degrees of the previous Sun/Venus conjunctions: 13°35’ Gemini (retrograde) on Jun 3rd 2020, and 14°29’ Gemini (direct) on Jun 4th 2024.

The conflicts may stem from around those times, especially the 2020 Lockdown retrograde. Although in detriment, Jupiter could bring in a higher perspective, guidance, mediators, or beliefs about how the conflicts started (Venus/Mars in Cardinal signs)

The Venus Direct chart is intense – Venus is tightly conjunct Saturn, North Node, and Mercury in late Pisces. The ruling planet of Pisces, Neptune, has just newly ingressed Aries, ruled by Mars still in Cancer.

However, the Pisces stellium of Venus/Saturn/North Node/Mercury makes a trine to a much faster moving Mars Cancer. A lot more integration there, as opposed to the jarring conflict of the Retrograde chart. The Moon is in Libra to add to the harmony – being ruled by Venus, and the ruler of Cancer (where Mars is). It’s also the exact day of a Libra Full Moon!

The Pisces stellium may bring in a more compassionate angle to long-standing conflicts, the theme of forgiveness (North Node Pisces), understanding, empathy. With Saturn, themes of repentance, atonement, understanding dire consequences, a humbling. This could be when regrets over the conflicts/the past start to filter in as well.

Pisces also rules longing, and yearning energies, especially for something (or someone) lost, unavailable, or unattainable. The fish that got away. Venus retrograde in Pisces nay exacerbate that. Conjunct the North Node, there is a fated element to it, it may be something/someone wistfully deemed as “destined all along”.

Venus retrograde especially in Pisces may even bring a return of anyone who ghosted you, or who you yourself have ghosted. Generally anyone you thought had disappeared for good.

With all the smoother flowing trines, Libra Full Moon, Mars ready to leave Cancer, it looks like at least some agreement, reconciliation, making amends, working on building bridges, white flags, could be achieved despite the odds.

Whilst not holding hands and dancing with rainbow unicorns (not anymore with Neptune Aries!), it may be agreeing to simply be civil to one other. Agree to disagree, but at least meeting somewhere halfway.
