This July, the Heaven Star flies into the CENTRE, spreading its heavenly powers throughout your entire home (and/or office)! Luck will play a crucial part in everyone’s life and to attract this, you want to appease the higher powers.
There are even more promising indications:
- The NW enjoys the “Sum of Ten”, bringing completion luck.
- The WEST and NE are home to the Prosperity Stars 8 and 9 respectively.
- The SOUTH, SW, EAST and NORTH benefit from powerful “Ho Tu” combinations.
The only sector that needs great caution this month is the SE, as it is home of the No 5 Misfortune Star, bringing misfortune of all kinds, disruptions, obstacles and accidents. It is best not to spend too much time here if you can and subdue the negative energy with a 5 Element Pagoda.
The Flying Stars chart below shows nine fields, each containing two numbers. The big number on the left of each field represents the annual star (red = afflictive, black = auspicious) and the smaller number on the right represents the current monthly star. These smaller numbers change every month and therefore create new energy patterns in your home and office.
To apply these monthly stars successfully, you need to map out the compass sectors in your home or office. If you are not yet familiar with the compass orientations of your home, I recommend you take two compass readings as follows:
- one compass reading from your main door, looking out, and
- another reading from the center of your living room, looking towards your balcony or picture window.
These two readings should enable you to determine the compass directions and locations of your home, so you can ascertain which stars fly into which area.
Please take particular note of the location of your main entrance door and your master bedroom, as the stars in those sectors will affect you the most. For those of you who work from home, the location of your home office/work station at home is obviously also important.
SOUTHEAST (1/5)
The SE is the most dangerous area this month due to the monthly No 5 Misfortune Star flying in. This brings misfortune of all kinds, including financial losses, obstacles, accidents and health issues. It is important to keep this sector calm and protected; avoid renovations, excessive activity and loud noise.
To suppress the No 5 Star, it is best to display a 5 Element Pagoda with Fu Dogs in your SE. If your bedroom, (home) office or main door are in the SE, additional protection is essential. Do not take unnecessary risks and carry a 5 Element Pagoda Amulet to protect yourself when you are on the go.
To protect your finances, you can place one or more Treasure Chests with Double Dragon in your SE.
SOUTH (6/1)
The No 1 Victory Star brings momentum and high chances of success to the SOUTH. Together with the annual No 6 Heaven Star, it forms the 1/6 “Ho Tu”, that enhances strategic thinking and boosts scholastic luck and intellectual potential. If you are a person who is in charge of planning or making key decisions daily, then you want to activate this sector. Students, writers, researchers, innovators and lawyers particularly benefit from spending time in this area.
To activate this special combination, you can place a Chi Lin or a Ho Tu Enhancing Mirror in your SOUTH.

SOUTHWEST (8/3)
While the monthly No 3 Star brings quarrelsome energy, together with the annual No 8 Star it forms the 3/8 “Ho Tu” combination that brings out natural leadership and strengthens your ability to influence others and take decisive action. Being in the SW, the sector connected to the matriarch, this Ho Tu is particularly favourable for women in positions of authority.
To activate, you can display a Ho Tu Enhancing Mirror or a 4 Element Cross in your SW. If your bedroom or main door is located here, you can carry the Ho Tu Enhancer Amulet.
To calm the Quarrelsome No 3 Star, you can display a Pair of Harmony Apples, and the matriarchs as well as people born in the Years of the Sheep or Monkey ought to carry a Peace Apple Amulet this month. Adding red accessories in your SW or a Peace Hanging with Red Tassel would also be a good idea.
EAST (9/4)
Romance and study luck is strong in the EAST this month. In addition, the 4/9 “Ho Tu” combination boosts leadership qualities. It is a great sector to activate if you are looking to grow your business, bring new ideas to life or build meaningful partnerships, which is particularly useful for people in sales professions or those running their own business.
To harness this fabulous Ho Tu, you can display a Ho Tu Enhancing Mirror and the Monkey God on Dragon in the EAST of your home or office.
To boost study luck and help achieve good exam results, you can display a 7-Level Scholastic Pagoda and carry a Pagoda Scholastic Amulet.
To boost love and romance or help attract a new love, you can display a Nine-Tailed Fox on Rose Quartz Heart in your EAST.
CENTRE (2/6)
The No 6 Heaven Star flies into the CENTRE, offering golden opportunities to everyone. It is a month when you can experience lucky streaks and unexpected breakthroughs, but only if you are proactive and stay open to possibilities.
To harness this heavenly support, you can carry a Heaven Seal Amulet.
To help you with financial breakthroughs, carrying a Windfall Yantra Amulet will help you unlock prosperity from unexpected sources.
To help you get attention and appreciation at work, you can wear a Ru Yi Charm Bracelet with Amazonite and Quartz.
You can also invite Pu Hsien Pusa sitting on her white elephant or Kuan Yin into your home and display her respectfully in the CENTRE of your home or choose your own deity who you have a strong connection with.
WEST (4/8)
Wealth and windfall luck shine in the WEST, making it a very rewarding sector to activate. You can grow your finances and turn smart ideas into steady income, especially if your bedroom or main door are located here. It is a good time to explore new sources of income, make smart investments or build on your long-term wealth portfolio.
To help with all this, you can display a Peach Tree with Magic Monkey in your WEST, but not in a bedroom. In addition, you can carry a wealth amulet, e.g. an Annual Amulet 2025, a Big Auspicious Pi Yao Amulet, or a 4 Element Cross Amulet with Monkey.
But remember that the No 8 Star can also affect your health. To keep your energy levels strong, you can display a Sky Deer in your WEST and carry a Sky Deer Spirit Essence Amulet, especially if you are born in the Year of the Rooster. Carrying a health amulet would also be useful, particularly for those of you who spend a lot of time in the WEST.
NORTHEAST (5/9)
The No 9 Star of Current Prosperity flies into the NE, which is excellent news, seeing that it can overpower the negativity of the annual No 5 Misfortune Star. This makes the NE a safe and very auspicious sector this month.
To boost the wonderful wealth luck, you can display a Number 9 Wealth Vault here. To activate the hidden potential of the No 9 Star, you can further add the “Winning Streak” Sure Win Coins and carry a “Power of 9” Windfall Amulet wherever you go.
NORTH (7/2)
The NORTH is home of the 2/7 “Great Wealth Ho Tu” combination this month, promising powerful money luck. If you wish to increase your income, attract smart investment returns or receive a financial windfall, this is the best sector to activate.
To do so, you can display the Ho Tu Enhancing Mirror in your NORTH, but not if this is a bedroom.
However, please be aware that the monthly No 2 Star is the Illness Star. To protect your good health and subdue the illness energy, you can display a pair of 5 Blessings Wu Lou here, especially if this is your bedroom. If your main door is in the NORTH or your home faces NORTH, I also recommend you carry a 5 Blessings Wu Lou Amulet for additional protection wherever you go.
Pregnant ladies and elderly family members should avoid spending time here this month and move to another bedroom if necessary.
NORTHWEST (3/7)
The NW is another sector that hosts two negative stars this month, but together they form the auspicious “Sum of Ten”, which outweighs the negativity and brings powerful completion luck. This will help you complete on-going projects successfully and close new deals.
To activate this lucky combination, you can place a Completion Horse in the NW of your home or office.
But do keep in mind that the monthly No 7 Star is a star that brings loss energies. Please be careful, especially when it comes to financial matters. The NW is connected to the patriarch, so both good and bad luck will affect the father of the family or the male head of the household most directly.
For protection, you can display a Magic Peacock Plaque or an Anti-Burglary Plaque in your NW. If your bedroom or main door is in the NW, it is also recommended to carry a Peacock Feather Amulet and a Sum of Ten Amulet for added support.
