A brief introduction with ZIWEI & Demonstration

3. Analyzing Career Prospects Using a Natal Chart

Understanding a natal chart can be complex, so let’s simplify the process by focusing on analyzing an individual’s career path.

Consider a person born at 6:30 AM on July 9, 2001, in Guizhou, China. To analyze their career prospects, we would examine the specific houses and cells in their natal chart that pertain to career and professional life. We would look at the positioning of relevant stars and their transformations to understand the strengths, challenges, and potential career trajectories.

While a detailed analysis can be overwhelming, a focused approach allows us to gain meaningful insights into how the stars align with one’s professional endeavors.

While various online sources may assign different names to the stars, for clarity and consistency in our subsequent analysis, we will use their Chinese name

1)Mercy, Tian Ji(天机) 2)Gloomy, Ju Men(巨门) 3)Prosperity, Hua Lu(化禄) 4)Abundance, Lu Cun(禄存) 5)Intellect, Wen Chang(文昌) 6)Intelligence, Wen Qu(文曲) 7)Authority, Hua Quan(化权) 8)Fame, Hua Lu(化禄) 9)Annoyance, Hua Ji(化忌) 10)Happy palace, Mental cell. 11)Lucky, Tian Tong(天同) 12)Ruinous, Po Jun(破军) 13),Emperor, Pole star(紫微) 14), Minister, Tian Xiang(天相)

3.1. Step 1: Analyzing the Self-Cell and Related Cells for Personal and Professional Insights

In ZIWEI, the absence of stars in the self-cell necessitates borrowing stars from the opposing cell, in this case, the abroad-cell. Presently, the main stars in the abroad-cell are Ju Men and Tian Ji, along with the benevolent star Lu Cun. We’ll focus on these for our analysis.

Next, we examine the stars in related cells as per the Three Directions Principle. This includes the career-cell, wealth-cell, and abroad-cell. The career-cell houses the main stars Sun and Moon, and the benevolent stars Wen chang and Wen qu. The wealth-cell contains the main star Tian liang and the benevolent star Tian Ma, which complements Lucun.

Ju Men is known for inciting debate due to its inherently talkative nature. While being articulate can be advantageous, it’s important for individuals influenced by Ju Men to avoid controversial topics and be mindful of others’ reactions to prevent discord. When Ju Men undergoes a transformation to Lu, it indicates a talented communicator who could potentially thrive in professions like law or academia.

Tian Ji represents the advisor archetype. The effectiveness of an advisor hinges on two questions: Are they wise enough? And, is there someone to heed their counsel? To assess Tian Ji’s impact, we look for associations with stars that denote intellectual prowess and high status.

Lu Cun, a benevolent star, often does not act alone. When it appears, it’s important to determine if there’s a complementary star that forms a pair with it, enhancing its influence.

Upon analyzing the stars in the self-cell, we must consider the cell’s overall context. The Three Directions Principle guides us to also examine the career and wealth cells.

In the career cell, we find Tai Yang and Tai Yin, the luminaries of the sky, whose stature is comparable to the Pole Star. This fulfills the second criterion for Tian Ji. Additionally, the intellectual stars Wen Chang and Wen Qu are present here, meeting Tian Ji’s first criterion. With Ju Men transformed to Lu, Tian Ji finds itself in an advantageous position, indicating a strong influence over the associated houses.

Tian Liang, the main star in the wealth cell, is accompanied by Tian Ma, the counterpart to Lu Cun. However, Tian Liang’s influence is relatively minor. Conversely, Tian Ma, paired with Lu Cun, sees its positive energies amplified.

Considering the self-cell’s dynamics, it’s evident that the individual possesses a remarkable personality shaped by Tian Ji and Ju Men. This suggests a person who is astute, knowledgeable, and likely to gain favor with superiors. For them, relocation or travel holds significant importance.

3.2. Step 2: Evaluating the Property and Parent Cells for Inheritance and Family Dynamics

When assessing the property and parent cells, we look for indicators of whether an individual will forge their own path or become an heir.

If these cells are prominent but suggest a self-made journey, it could hint at past misfortunes within the family business.

The parent cell features Po Jun, a fierce star, alongside Qi Sha and Tan Lang, which represent generals. Their association often points to strained relationships, suggesting the individual may have a challenging dynamic with their parents. In my experience, the presence of a general star in the parent cell, especially when combined with Wu Qu and Po Jun, greatly increases the likelihood of the individual having lost a parent at a young age.

Examining the Three Directions from the parent cell, we find Qi Sha in the children cell, Tan Lang in the friends cell, and the Pole Star and Tian Xiang in the health cell. The Pole Star, akin to an emperor, typically mitigates the aggression of the general stars, particularly Qi Sha. With the Pole Star in a favorable position, supported by civil officials like Tian Fu, Tian Xiang, and benevolent stars Tian Kui, Tian Yue, as well as Wen Chang and You Bi, it can mediate the individual’s relationship with their parents. However, the presence of three malevolent stars linked to the parent cell suggests challenges if the individual wishes to inherit wealth.

In the property cell, we find Wu Qu and Tian Fu, indicating potential prosperity and the possibility of receiving an inheritance, yet also earning independently.

While the property cell might signal an inheritance, the main star in the wealth cell, Tian Liang, known for resolving conflicts, suggests that not all will be smooth sailing. The narrative of the wealth cell often transitions from negative to positive, indicating fluctuating fortunes.

From this analysis, we can infer that the individual comes from a relatively affluent background but has some tension with their parents. They may receive an inheritance but are likely to diverge from the family’s established path. If the career cell and related cells lack stars with pioneering qualities, the individual’s career path may face risks.
