Hello everyone. I work under the name Gwelf, and today I’m announcing the release of the astrological application Astrology Consultant for astrological practice. gwelfenlib.github.io/AstroCon/
Originally I created it for myself out of necessity:
- Display 3 charts simultaneously
- Automatic detection of all aspects and configurations in a chart
- Illustration of individual points in my readings for clients
- And the ability to copy chart + transits and feed it to AI for interpretation, to make daily predictions for myself and feel more confidence when there’s no other support
The application is now available on the web for all devices, and I invite you to check it out. In this thread I plan something like a devlog and to maintain communication with you, besides email. Let me tell you a bit about what’s in Astrology Consultant.
Active Chart
The main tab that displays info for the selected chart. Signs, houses, dominants. I developed my own system for calculating planetary strength + you can read in detail how everything is calculated by clicking on a planet. The system recognizes all aspects within the chart and displays them in a list. It also finds special configurations like “grand trine,” “yod,” “eclipse.” The tab has a “Copy” button that offers this:
a text description of the entire chart is copied to clipboard > you send it to any AI > you get an interpretation of your chart from AI. Not better than a professional astrologer would do, but interesting to try for variety.
Point Info
Displays data about a specific point, highlighting only its aspects. I need this in analysis when I have to describe a specific mechanism visually. Here all the nuances of position are displayed (rulership, aspects, positional features) and, when other charts are enabled, it describes how the point interacts with them.
Prognostics
This tab gathers all aspects from the transit chart to the selected natal chart. Sorts from the most long-term (Pluto, Uranus, Neptune) to the fastest (Mercury, Moon). In settings you can enable cusp aspectation. At the top it shows the most aspected points in the chart.
Synastry
In this tab is the overlay of two charts. Also displays a complete list of aspects + calculation of harmonious and destructive factors. Importantly: it finds aspects of similarity and complementarity, meaning where people are alike and where they can complement each other. Visual display of house occupation and mutual aspectation of points.
Learning & Tips

Technically, Astrology Consultant app currently supports these settings:
- Switching between tropical and sidereal zodiac (Eastern, Western astrology)
- House grid construction using Placidus, Koch, and equal house systems
- Out-of-sign aspects enabled or not
- Aspects to cusps enabled or not
- Point visibility: Lilith, lunar nodes, Chiron and Proserpina
- Aspect orb configuration
This is sufficient for most common approaches, but you can write what else to add, and whether such a tool would be useful to you.
