When your mind and heart are truly open abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.
Question:
I have read three of your books (Creating Affluence, Power Freedom and Grace, and The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success). I am 18 years old and a strong believer in the fact that my thoughts create my world, and I do meditation on a daily basis. I just had a question about placing my desires in the gap between thoughts. In your books you speak about placing desires in the gap and keeping them there because that is where the spontaneous fulfillment of the desire is. You also said in one of your books that if you use too much effort, that you then bring the desire out of the gap.
Well one of my desires is a certain monthly income goal. I am currently in university but I am also learning to be an Internet marketer. Internet marketing is a very true passion for me and it seems that I am in a very blissful state when I am working on it. I like to work on Internet marketing whenever I can, therefore using a fair amount of effort. My question is if I am putting a lot of effort into Internet marketing, will this cause my monthly income desire to come out of the gap?
I desire to be as successful as possible in my life, and I desire to do great things for this world. I believe at this moment that Internet marketing is my dharma.
Response:
It’s good that you have a clear direction for your growth to unfold, but I think you may be confusing the instructions on how to drop your desires into the gap with positive thinking exercises. When you let your intention slip into the gap, you let it go, you don’t hold onto the thought, image or goal. It’s called the gap because it lies in that space between your concrete thoughts. You release it into the field of all possibilities with the understanding that the response will automatically be aligned to your highest purpose. It often happens that the direction your intention is supported is slightly different than what your ego mind has settled on. That’s why it’s helpful to be open to how nature is responding.
