Yin House Feng Shui is a whole separate branch of Feng Shui, in contrast to Yang House Feng Shui, which focuses on residential and commercial properties, any structure (above ground). This case study, Yin House, Feng Shui for Grave Sites, is an introduction to considerations for picking the best burial plot. It is also an introduction to cultural beliefs and notions about death and the After life.
Some of the practices for Yin House, divination of a grave site, are similar to Feng Shui principles for a home or business. But some principles of Yin House are glaringly different from what we think is good for “houses for the living.” For example, you might assume that a grave site under a shady tree is charming and cozy. However, chronic shade on a grave site makes a “Yin House” even more yin, too yin. It’s better when the grave site receives plenty of sun (balancing yang energy).
EXCERPT:
“Yin House is taken quite seriously for several reasons. First of all, we have a grave site which can affect up to three generations of family members. Compare that to a Yang House, like a home, which really only affects the current occupants. Yin House is also taken very seriously because there is relatively little you can do to change or improve upon the location. Unlike a house, where you can remodel, decorate, and change how you use the space or where you spend most of your time. With the grave site, it is what it is, for the most part.
There are Feng Shui books which retell stories of how Yin House analysis predicted what would happen to descendants, to include those who rose to great power and fame because of their ancestors’ grave site, such as becoming a powerful ruler or very wealthy. Equally, there are stories of terrible fates and tragedies befalling a person or family because of the bad feng shui associated with a grave site.
Just by looking at the mountain ranges close to the grave, some Feng Shui masters have purportedly predicted many specific events and circumstances which would transpire.
As with Yang House, Yin House Feng Shui analysis can be done on several different levels, from very simple “common sense” edicts to extremely subtle and non-obvious analysis.
For all the same reasons we do Yang House readings, through Yin House we can find out if descendants may have financial struggles or strengths, relationship problems, or health issues.”
You may not want to read about Yin House and the particulars if you have no interest in making that kind of selection yourself. This is required reading for my Advanced Students. If you just want Yin House assistance in real life, I can be available to help.
