This March, the No 7 Burglary & Loss Star flies into the CENTRE, and this is a warning to everyone: please be careful who you trust and take care of your finances as there is increased danger of losing money. You might become a victim of robbery, pickpocket or theft, or make bad investment decisions. It is highly recommended to place protective remedies.
The NORTH, EAST and SOUTH also need strong cures, especially if your house or main door face one of these directions.
The SW, WEST and NW enjoy positive energy influences that lighten the annual afflictions, and the NE and SE are the luckiest areas. Spend more time in the NE and SE if you can and keep these sectors active.
The Flying Stars chart below shows nine fields, each containing two numbers. The big number on the left of each field represents the annual star (red = afflictive, black = auspicious) and the smaller number on the right represents the current monthly star. These smaller numbers change every month and therefore create new energy patterns in your home and office.
To apply these monthly stars successfully, you need to map out the compass sectors in your home or office. If you are not yet familiar with the compass orientations of your home, I recommend you take two compass readings as follows:
- one compass reading from your main door, looking out, and
- another reading from the center of your living room, looking towards your balcony or picture window
These two readings should enable you to determine the compass directions and locations of your home, so you can ascertain which stars fly into which area.
Please take particular note of the location of your main entrance door and your master bedroom, as the stars in those sectors will affect you the most. For those of you who work from home, the location of your home office/work station at home is obviously also important.
SOUTHEAST (9/6)
The SE is one of the most auspicious sectors this month with the No 6 Heaven Star joining the annual No 9 Prosperity Star. This brings opportunities for growth and progress as well as wonderful windfall luck, recognition and benefactor luck. New doors can open easily, and the right people will come into your life when you need them. Students can harness powerful mentor luck!
This is a fabulous place to spend more time in this month! To bring out the good energy, you can place Ksiddigarbha sitting on a Chi Lin and a Lap Chun Wealth Tree in your SE.
If you live in a SE-facing house or sleep in a SE bedroom, you can carry a Heaven Seal Amulet or a Windfall Yantra Amulet to help you tap into these excellent stars. The same applies to people born in the Years of the Dragon or Snake.
SOUTH (5/2)
The SOUTH is already afflicted by the annual Misfortune Star and is now the home of the No 2 Illness Star too! If you spend a lot of time in the SOUTH, e.g. because your bedroom or (home) office is located in the SOUTH, you ought to be particularly mindful of your health. You may find you are lacking energy and drive. Do not ignore warning signs and if you don’t feel “right”, then don’t push yourself too much. The same applies to people born in the Year of the Horse and those with main doors in the SOUTH or living in SOUTH-facing houses.
It’s important to keep this sector quiet and avoid spending too much time there. Elderly family members or anyone with existing health issues should not have their bedroom in the SOUTH this month.
To subdue the illness energy, you can display a 9 Prosperity Wu Lou or a Medicine Buddha Plaque in your SOUTH. A Sky Bat would be ideal for your work desk or bedside table.
If you belong to the group of people mentioned above, you should carry a Triple Blessings Wu Lou Amulet this month for protection. If you feel exhausted and fatigued, carry a Dragon & Phoenix Life Force Amulet.
SOUTHWEST (7/4)
The No 4 Star brightens up the SW, as it brings love and romance, as well as study luck for students of all ages. Matriarchs can benefit especially from this auspicious star, as well as people born in the Years of the Sheep or Monkey.
If you are single, you can place a Peach Blossom Peony Love Box in the SW of your home and/or your bedroom and carry a Double Happiness Love Talisman to help attract a new love. If you are already in a relationship, you can display the Double Happiness Vase with Lilies instead to keep your loving relationship strong and guard against infidelity.
Students who need help with study and exam luck can place a Mini Saraswati Plaque in the SW to help and carry a Saraswati Swan Amulet.

Those of you who are born in the Year of the Rabbit, have their bedroom in the EAST or live in EAST-facing houses are most affected and ought to carry a Heart Sutra Pagoda Amulet for protection. If you travel a lot, don’t go anywhere without the 28 Hums Safety Amulet.
In addition, you can place a Wealth Lock Coin to help protect you from financial losses.
CENTRE (1/7)
Luck in the CENTRE takes a dive due to the No 7 Burglary & Loss Star flying in, bringing with it the danger of theft, financial loss and betrayal. This affects everyone! Keep your guard up and be cautious.
It’s best to keep this area quiet this month and display the Active Rhino & Elephant pair in the CENTRE of your home for protection. To protect you from burglary and pickpockets when you’re out, you can carry an Active Rhino & Elephant Amulet.
To strengthen your position at work, you can place a Strategic Rooster on your desk.
Since the No 7 Star can also bring cheating and betrayal, married couples ought to pay more attention to their other half and carry the Rooster Amulet to protect their relationship from third parties trying to get between you.
WEST (3/9)
The No 9 Star brings wonderful prosperity luck, abundance and opportunities for growth to the WEST. Windfalls are also possible.
To activate, you can place a 9 Rod Abacus or a Lap Chun Wealth Tree in your WEST sector.
If you are in business and looking for increased profits, you can display the 9 Dragon Plaque instead.
People living in WEST-facing houses or with bedroom in the WEST, can carry a No 9 Twirling Wealth Amulet to multiply their luck this month.
The No 9 Star also brings overall luck and happiness, benefitting in particular people born in the Year of the Rooster this month and those with bedrooms in the WEST – if this is you, make an effort to turn up the love vibes!
NORTHEAST (4/1)
The NE is another most auspicious sector this month, with the No 1 Star bringing success in career and business ventures. It will be easier to overcome obstacles, and new exciting opportunities might present themselves. If you find yourself in any competitive situation, do enhance your NE sector!
The Victory Flag is a very suitable symbol to activate the No 1 Star. In addition, you can carry a Victory Wind Horse Amulet, especially if you are born in the Years of the Ox or Tiger, or your main door or bedroom are in the NE.
Students studying for exams can also greatly benefit from the excellent energy here. If you can, study in the NE sector of your house and place the Saraswati Mini Plaque here.
NORTH (6/3)
Here, the Quarrelsome No 3 Star brings aggressive energy, leading to arguments, conflicts, and even lawsuits. Quarrels among family members and at work are more likely to break out and create tension. Stay calm and be patient! Keep the NORTH as quiet as possible and remove any windchimes you might have hanged here.
To help calm the chi, you can place Ksiddigarbha’s Fireball & Staff here, or a Happy Smiling Buddha. Red accessories are also very useful here this month, e.g. red cushions, a strong fire painting, or a red rug.
If your bedroom is in the NORTH or your house faces NORTH, it would be good to carry a Ksiddigarbha Fireball Amulet this month. This will also help subdue existing quarrels.
(Married) couples with bedroom in the NORTH might like to place a Marriage Lock on their bedside tables to keep their marital bond and love strong.
NORTHWEST (2/8)
The No 8 Wealth Star brings positive energy to the NW, promising wealth and prosperity luck, which can lead to increased income. Together with the annual No 2 Star it forms the powerful “Sum of Ten”, bringing completion luck that will help you complete your tasks and projects with ease and success.
You can tap into this auspicious energy with the Perfect Ten Enhancer placed in the NW and by carrying the Perfect Ten Amulet. This is a good sector to spend time in this month but don’t let it get too noisy.
Remember that there is also illness energy around, which you can subdue with a 9 Prosperity Wu Lou.
Elderly family members should not have their bedroom in the NW this month.
