The World is self-destructing, and only we human beings are responsible for allowing that to happen. We have a vitally important mission to Holistically nurture the World back to optimum health.
The World Needs Holistic Nurturing
By William Benzanson
The World Equals Earth Plus Spirit
Unfortunately, it is evolving on a downward trend, decaying. And nobody is doing this to us, allowing the world to self-destruct. No enemy, no alien beings, no deity, nobody is doing this horrid degradation to our Goldilocks zone, precious island home. We human beings are neglecting the health of the World. It needs nurturing to get back to thriving health.
What is Holistic Nurturing?
So, what is holistic nurturing? We all know about nurturing children, pets, plants, or relationships to grow in a healthy, well-nourished, and well-balanced manner so that they will evolve optimally.
But, I want to look at a more general view of nurturing. I want to explore not only the well-understood methods of physical nurturing, but also the less acknowledged practices of spiritual nurturing.
My understanding of the cosmos is that literally everything has two aspects: masculine and feminine, inner and outer, positive and negative, higher and lower, clockwise and counter-clockwise, physical and spiritual, solid and fluid, and many other aspects. Every one of those things may benefit from nurturing, or may become deficient from lack of nurturing.
Many people, indeed, perhaps most of them, choose to drift through life, often seeking just to survive, day to day, and not even to think of the two-foldedness of virtually everything. That’s understandable. For many people, merely surviving is a challenge.
But for us fortunate folk who live in good conditions, in developed countries, in decent societies, we simply must concern ourselves with higher matters. It would be neglectful and irresponsible for us to take for granted the wonderful conditions and environments we find ourselves in.
When we were young and unable to support ourselves, someone nurtured us. Typically, that would have been our parents, most often our mothers. But, as we matured, many of us lost track of our need to nurture others. Our modern “Me First” society vividly entices us not to look at the big picture but to fritter away our time being entertained, playing games, and sheepishly following the crowd.
Deciding Our Priorities
Holistic nurturing is very low on our list of things to think about, such as nurturing our own lives, and especially our own spiritual lives. Misguided society teaches us to do physical workouts (“Working Out”) but to neglect spiritual workouts (“Working In”).
This skewed view of holistic nurturing of our lives is a tragic consequence of our neglect of the fundamentally important view of who we are and what our mission is in life. We modern people have lost our sense of wonderment and awe when faced with anything beyond our ordinary, mundane lives; and we focus on whether a glass is half empty or half full, when the really important question is whether the glass is emptying or filling, and how rapidly.
No! We have lost the motivation to nurture our own lives, as well as those of our families, and, most tragically of all, of our World.
So, do I have a solution to this tragedy, our lack of Holistic nurturing in the World?
Maybe I can start a list of intents and actions that we might take:
Creating our futures:
We could develop and apply the ability to create the futures that we desire by spiritual means.
Creative visualization:
We could visualize the future we desire intently and then release that image to God, the creative energy and intelligence of the cosmos, with gratitude for enabling it to materialize.
Developing our intuition:
The most important ability to develop is our intuition, through which God, or our higher selves, speaks to us.
Read auras:
A vitally important power to develop is the ability to see and understand the auras that surround all living entities.
Interpret our dreams:
Working on your dreams, documenting them, analyzing them, and implementing their advice, can be highly effective in nurturing your life and the World.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle:
This was a popular catchphrase in the late 1900s. It is still applicable and inspiring today.
Don’t just change things, but Transform them:
Changing something alters one or more of its parameters; transforming it replaces its model of existence into something fundamentally different, possibly with higher-level models and inspiring paradigms. For example, try thinking your thoughts in a different language than usual; imagine living with different laws of physics than usual, such as floating rather than sinking; visualize the past and the future in the same direction as the ancient Hebrews once did.
My personal take:
What I’m writing about here is developing new habits. The most effective way to holistically nurture our world is to create habits supporting such nurturing. Such habits will influence us in our idle moments, while asleep, or when wondering what to do next to allow our lives to comply with our new habits of nurturing the world.
