Robert, with my mod hat on, I kind of have to look at everything.
That I understand. I was a moderator/admin of an astrology forum at the dawn of the internet age back in the 1990’s—many years ago. Doing that is a lot like being a landlord. I didn’t like it that much– either. At least, where I am the admin on a FB photography Page, I have the power. It was much easier to deal with ME in the first 3 months of that. But after months of trying to get people to follow the rules by cajoling them, I remembered that there are 76,000 members and that we get 10 new members a week, so I don’t really have to cajole. I just remove photos that don’t follow the rules; if they change: great! If they don’t and I notice that I am moderating a lot of their photos, then I bounce them. They probably don’t even know.
But here I can actually look to see if its something I really want to talk about. But the reality is that I really don’t care a lot about talking about astrology. I’m here for the Horary helping and the read my chart part helping. You can retire a person who did that all their life but you can’t take the desire to do it from them. But again, when I did it in a non-astrology way, and in an astrology way, I always needed feedback to be able to do the job well.
I ignore people here who: a) won’t give feedback, b) say mean things, c) say really dumb things, or d) ignore offers of assistance that requires them to give feedback. Then, like the photos, I don’t really need to be going through a lot of work for someone who asked a question for something for to do on an otherwise dull Saturday Afternoon.
In the short time I have been here, though, YOU are a terrific moderator. I especially like the fact that in the one banning I saw, it was only a temporary suspension. And….it does appear that we share the same birth year, though you were born on a class M planet somewhere else in the local group, and I was born on THE GLORY ROAD.
