And it’s always taking my attention that the Bible itself starts with a story magis’ seeing the Jesus’ star in the East and by following the star, they find Marry’s house and worship him.
But on the other hand, Christians’ usual attitude towards astrology was harshly against, right? I was researching about this and I saw this quote:
All forms of divination are to be rejected: recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or other practices falsely supposed to “unveil” the future. Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone.
— Catechism of the Catholic Church
Although the beginning sounds bigoted, the ending sounds interestingly making sense. But surely only if we’re studying astrology for sake of power consciously or unconsciously.
And I consider astrology as if it’s a software of God, like he didn’t deal with giving destinies to people one by one but he created automations through planets, location and time to generate destinies for us. And also recently I heard this from @IleneK
The things I wanna ask is to Christians,
If the faith that you have within is already destined to be there, how can you take your faith seriously? If stars already was telling that you’d have a faith, then is it your faith what’s you’re having? And if destiny is making some faithful and some unfaithful, then what’s the meaning of rewards? I mean, moreover, we can even question Judas. He needed to be there to complete the story, and needed to betray so that prophecies would take place, then why is he getting the curses? Is it possible to have faith, and to deal with astrology comfortably without feeling the disturbance of you’re just believing because you’re inclined/destined to believe?
I’m specifically asking to Christians because I had supernatural experiences regarding Christianity but I’m not a believer. But I’d say that I’m a feeler. But I really would wish to have faith, and this is even something that I’m jealous of people who are really believers. But from astrology point, all of these are nothing but tendencies… Even my questioning the depth of these things might be related to my Scorpio dominant nature and having my Mercury in 12th house for example.
