Jupiter’s Transit of Cancer 2025-2026

Jupiter expands our experiences, our knowledge, and our understanding. Jupiter represents optimism, growth, generosity, and abundance.

This is what Jupiter recently did in previous signs: (click to expand)

While in Capricorn, Jupiter urged us to define goals, seek out tangible results, act ethically and maturely, and take a disciplined and step-by-step approach to realize our objectives. We focused on our material goals, structures, rules, and sense of responsibility (from December 2019 to December 2020).

When Jupiter was in Aquarius (December 2020 to May 2021 and July 2021 to December 2021), Jupiter expanded our awareness of our place in the community and the needs of all. Jupiter in Aquarius encouraged fairness, impartiality, individuality, and humanitarianism. We reaped rewards through being more inclusive and just. And, we opened our minds to progress.

When Jupiter was in Pisces (May 13 to July 28, 2021; December 28, 2021, to May 10, 2022; and October 28 to December 20, 2022), Jupiter expanded our awareness of our spirituality and compassion. Jupiter in Pisces encouraged us to give of ourselves and embrace compassion and imagination. We valued charity, tenderness, and empathy.

When Jupiter was in Aries (May 10 to October 28, 2022 and December 20, 2022, to May 16, 2023), Jupiter expanded our awareness of our personal courage and enterprising nature. Jupiter in Aries encouraged us to embrace the inner pioneer, believe in ourselves, and make our own opportunities.

While Jupiter was in Taurus (May 16, 2023, to May 25, 2024), Jupiter expanded our awareness of our need to establish ourselves and build upon what we own and have. Jupiter in Taurus encouraged us to embrace our needs for comfort, security, grounding, stability, collecting, and providing for ourselves.

While Jupiter was in Gemini (May 25, 2024, to June 9, 2025), Jupiter expanded our awareness of our need to connect, learn, share, and prosper in our everyday lives. Jupiter in Gemini encouraged us to embrace our need to collect, process, and share information. We seek input, mental stimulation, and movement.

Now in Cancer, Jupiter expands our awareness of our need for nurture, a home base, and foundations. Jupiter in Cancer motivates us to honor our intuition, emotions, families, and inner needs, and to build our support systems.

Jupiter is in Cancer from:

  • June 9, 2025, to June 30, 2026.

In other words, Jupiter spends a little over a year in the sign of Cancer.

With a Water sign Jupiter, we have a strong belief in a higher power. We are most able to attract luck and rich life experiences through our intuition, imagination, and compassion. Helping those in need boosts our own morale.

More specifically, with Jupiter in Cancer, we attract the most good fortune when we are sympathetic, charitable, use our powers to save and accumulate, and comfort others.

Note that Jupiter is exalted in Cancer and performs quite well in the sign.

Prosperous areas are real estate, child care, mother care, and the food industry during this transit. Good fortune or experiences surround these things. In favor now are pursuits and fields that require warmth, benevolence, sound economics, tenacity, nurture, a combination of good common sense and intuition, protection, containment, and a strong sense of what’s comfortable and safe in order to succeed and prosper. These areas can be most attractive and/or profitable.

This can be a better time for investments in or putting more energy into Cancer-related industries, such as real estate, food and catering, mines, land, fertility, family, domesticity, antiques, and caregiving. Studying the past and paying attention to the history of a pursuit can be especially worthwhile now. It’s a time for considering longer-term security.

Sensitivity combined with tenacity are traits that most contribute to success during this cycle.

Winning Good Fortune

With Jupiter in Cancer, we function at our best when we feel safe and comfortable, but also prepared.

Jupiter in Cancer brings opportunities related to property, family, homes, agriculture, land, and parenting. There can be a particular love of the past and strong sentimentality and nostalgia.

In contrast to the love of variety and novelty of the previous Jupiter cycle while Jupiter was in Gemini, we can now take pleasure in familiarity, comfort, and preparation.

Building our connections and establishing roots contributes significantly to success. Nurturing, protecting, and supporting can be our comfort or pleasure zone.

During this cycle, we’re employing understanding and warmth to our benefit. Being cautious, selective, economical, moderate, and emotionally intelligent is more in vogue and seen as a virtue.

With Jupiter in Cancer, we prefer learning programs that focus on meanings, feelings, intuition, pictures, and discussion. Belief systems that emphasize the importance of the family and encourage caring for one another are more appealing.

We see opportunities to grow and succeed through emotional channels, expanding our own foundations, and building our families. We are more inclined to believe that emotional intelligence is the major key to solving problems. Connecting intimately is valued.

It’s a time when we feel that having a secure and well-functioning home base is empowering. It’s a period when we highly value our closest connections and roots.

Jupiter not only likes to expand, it likes to learn, so when Jupiter is paired with Cancer, we may be more interested in learning about our roots, exploring genealogy, learning about family traditions, and the like. We might value real estate, owning a home, expanding our home, and building a family. We might have more faith in our family, as its value increases in our eyes.

Too Much Jupiter in Cancer

Crab illustration within pink diamond frame with the word Cancer and its symbol

Because Jupiter’s nature is extravagant, we must guard against “too much.” This applies no matter which sign Jupiter is currently visiting. Jupiter’s zeal can supersede moderation at times. It can expand the more negative qualities of a sign, just as it can magnify the positive traits.

Jupiter’s enthusiasm can be well-intentioned but might close our eyes to our immoderate behaviors.

In Cancer, negative manifestations include sticking too close to home or to all that is familiar at the expense of other life departments, eating too much (comfort food), smothering others, pampering ourselves, manipulative and roundabout behaviors, and clinging behaviors. Excessive clannishness is also a potential problem.

Problematic Jupiter-in-Cancer behavior may be more prevalent around Jupiter’s squares to Saturn and Neptune in June 2025, and during its square to Chiron in October and December 2025.

With the planet of freedom in a sign that’s particularly emotional and safety-focused, we might experience and give out mixed messages.

On its own, Cancer’s nature makes it a strongly sentimental, cautious, traditional, and sometimes moody sign. Of course, blowing these traits out of proportion, as Jupiter might do on occasion, could lead to problems.

Jupiter in Cancer Working For Us

However, Jupiter’s higher vibration seeks perspective. Jupiter’s “perspective” isn’t a detached, analytical, or detailed look at any given situation but an overview–a look at the “big picture.” With Jupiter, ideally, we can rise above pettiness, mundane concerns, inconveniences, and the like.

Where Jupiter is currently transiting in your own chart is generally where you are inclined to find your joy at this stage in your development. This area of your life expands and improves in some manner.

There is also a need for new tools to boost and build these areas of life. In order to develop, we need to pursue our goals with more faith, confidence, and joy.

We’re a little more entitled, ideally just enough to be healthy, in these areas, and it helps boost us.

Jupiter in Cancer Prosperity

Jupiter in Cancer finds joy in taking care of loved ones and establishing roots and intimate connections. It’s a powerful time to improve our family life, and it’s an excellent period for upgrading the systems, machines, or devices that keep us happy and healthy at home. New housing and living arrangements or improved conditions can open up.

We have more options, or we see more options during this transit. Areas that can improve and benefit from this transit are .

Home decorating, expansion, or stabilizing can be highly appealing and beneficial during this phase. Investments in property and land or appliances and furniture may pay off. We value comfort more so than usual.

Our desire to protect, defend, and support the ones we love can expand at this time. There can be more patriotism and attachment to our families, cultures, or countries.

We might enjoy herding or gathering together, and improving our home life can be a fun and successful activity. There can be more and/or better connections not only with parents, children, and siblings but also with roommates. Family activities can be most rewarding, improving our outlook and morale.

Where Jupiter is currently transiting in your own chart is generally where you are inclined to find your “joy” at this stage in your development.

  • Do: connect with and repair relationships with family, loved ones, and roommates; honor needs for comfort, familiarity, and safety; recognize the importance of intuition.
  • Don’t: overdo familiarity; use family or comfort as an excuse to avoid responsibilities to the outside world; over-pamper or coddle others and ourselves.

The last time Jupiter transited Cancer was from June 25th, 2013, until July 16th, 2014. See also Jupiter transits Cancer.

Our attitudes and values concerning religion, moral conduct, education, and politics are emotional.

Note that this Jupiter in Cancer transit helps to further release us from the struggles we may have had while Mars was retrograde in the sign of Cancer (from January 6th to February 23rd, 2025, although longer due to the shadow periods).

Jupiter in Cancer Themes & Media

With Jupiter, we extend our reach, and in Cancer, we’re more inclined to appeal to others through our feelings. It’s in the world of emotions where we tend to want to grow, improve, expand, and thrive, or it’s through our tenacity and loyalty or connection that we feel we can prosper.

While Jupiter was in Gemini, we were branching out and putting our feelers out, gathering information and ideas. Now, we’re putting our information to good use, but we’re also drawing on our instincts and intuition to make decisions.

There can be some good fortune or experiences surrounding homes and property. During this Jupiter in Cancer cycle, we place strong emphasis and value on the emotions and instincts to nurture.

In Cancer, Jupiter urges us to honor our needs for nurture and to nurture.

The qualities of Cancer are qualities that, when displayed and embraced, help us expand our personality and life experience. These characteristics include: gentle, tenacious, protective, cautious, feeling, nurturing, contemplative, and humorous.

Where we find Cancer in our charts is where we are especially sensitive but tenacious. Cancer contains, protects, surrounds, and nourishes. Memorable events and experiences are likely in these areas.

We may see more Cancer themes and topics in the media as we become more and more fascinated with Cancerian energies.

Cancer is fascinating, warm, funny, prepared, and genuine. We may see more themes in the media spotlighting the dedicated, loyal, family-loving hero with a strong sense of tradition. People with strong Cancer influences in their charts (for example, Queen Camilla, Harrison Ford, Colton Haynes, Heechul, Nick Austin, Conor McGregor, Ed Westwick, Mindy Kaling, Fantasia Barrino, Kate Nash, and so forth) can rise in relevance or popularity during this period.

Cancer associations magnify during this transit. Cancer’s lucky number is Moon-ruled two 2. Lucky days are 2, 11, and 20.  The color most associated with Cancer  is violet and silver. Cancer is considered a highly fertile sign for planting. Its tree is the apple, Cyprus, and fir.

Jupiter in Cancer & Health, Energy

Health issues with Jupiter are usually related to excesses, while Cancer issues are often connected to the stomach, chest, esophagus, mucous systems, feelings, and toxicity or holding onto things. Cancer is sensitive, accumulating stress, and Jupiter can magnify this. Water retention can be a problem. Toxicities in the home can be a topic. Mold and fungus-related diseases can also be in the news.

Jupiter is associated with the liver, memory, and arterial blood flow. Jupiter transits can be protective but they can also enlarge or exaggerate functions. Health problems associated with Cancer under stress include digestive problems and disorders related to mucous membranes, which could come into prominence with Jupiter in Cancer. We might eat more when under stress, affecting our digestive systems. Issues related to swelling, fatty deposits, distension, edema, and indigestion can be more frequent.

It’s certainly possible that latent problems in these areas can magnify during this Jupiter transit. It’s also possible that solutions arise for these issues since Jupiter has healing, protective energy. Sometimes, it’s about magnifying a problem that has existed for some time enough that we’re pushed to solve it.

Cancer is associated with body fluids, protective covers in the body, and bodily “containers.” Health issues connected with the sign of Cancer include water retention and stomach problems.

Focusing on warmth, nurture, and caring can be fortifying during this cycle. Embracing our need for self-care and nurturing others can be beneficial.

Being too insular can be a problem during this period, and breaking this pattern, if you notice it happening, can be fortifying during this cycle. Efforts to take better care of the home or base of operations may be in order, such as improving air quality and rooting out problematic mold or rot.

It’s a time that increases or expands our need to cook, clean, garden, attend to our property, and so forth. There’s a stronger focus on long-term safety, comfort, and security.

There’s a positive focus on intuition. We might pay more attention to Cancerian symbols such as the Moon, crabs, pearls, wisdom, maternity, breasts and breastfeeding, nutrition, and nurture.

In sum,

Planet and aspect symbols in green: Jupiter, square, Saturn, on a decorative background

Jupiter square Saturn

Jupiter’s square to Saturn presents a challenge and can be a reality check of sorts. This can be a time when Saturn is laying down the law, forcing us to constrict things a little after a period of expansion and reminding us of our limits.

This is not the time to take shortcuts–they won’t work. It is best to breathe new life into old plans rather than to strike out with a new plan altogether. Take steps to grow for best results during this period, but don’t overextend yourself, or you are bound to face frustrations.

Circumstances present us with an opportunity for personal or professional growth, although the rewards may be delayed. We must restructure our lives or plans in accordance with rules, laws, limits, and the demands of reality. Ultimately, this process can lead to a stronger, more resilient version of ourselves or our projects.

This can be a time of temporary fluctuating finances, increased personal commitments, sudden obstacles to our goals, energy dips, or ups and downs with our faith/outlook. We might ask ourselves, “Why am I doing this?” What for?” or “What’s the point?” more frequently. There can be a sense that we’re not in the right place at the right time during this phase.

During this period, it is crucial to breathe new life into old plans rather than strike out with a new plan altogether. We may need to make sacrifices in one area of our lives to grow in another. It’s important to avoid attempting easy fixes or shortcuts. The need to adjust our expectations is a natural part of the process, and with patience and perseverance, we can confidently navigate current obstacles and challenges. Jupiter square Neptune

Jupiter’s square to Neptune can point to a time when we can be misled easily–by others or by our own unrealistic or inflated expectations. An inability to focus on important and realistic details, some disorganization, and extravagance or exaggeration is indicated. Routine seems to be particularly unsatisfying now.

This is a time when we easily take a detour from a practical path. It can also be a time when we are disillusioned by something (or someone). We need to watch carefully for a tendency to evade and avoid things, as well as for writing ourselves new beliefs or philosophies that justify this avoidance.

There can be a lot of wandering, meandering, and lack of groundedness happening with this influence. We might have troubles setting boundaries for ourselves. There is a need to come down to earth from time to time.

Some routines, discipline, regularity, and rhythms should be enforced to counteract this tendency. Spiritual inspiration is a potential, however, as we shed false beliefs, expectations, and paths.

Read more about the Jupiter square Neptune aspect.

Jupiter’s semi-square to Uranus points to some restlessness, as we can be wanting to grow, improve, and innovate, but we’re not necessarily focused. We could find it difficult to agree with others, or it’s hard to find common ground.

We need to be willing to make changes in our lives now, or change will come in perhaps unwanted forms.

It’s not an ideal time for financial speculation. However, it is a time during which we can open ourselves up to new ways of thinking, but we could also too easily avoid taking responsibility for things that truly matter. We should watch for impractical ventures and unusual tangents with weak staying power but should aim to tap into the desire to innovate.

Green symbols of Jupiter, trine aspect (as a triangle), and Moon's North Node on a backsplash of random astrological symbols

Jupiter trine Moon’s North Node

Jupiter’s trine to the Moon’s North Node points to a willingness to grow, learn, improve, and develop, moving past our fears.

We are ready to embrace new methods and attitudes, leaving behind those no longer serving our growth. Jupiter encourages us to embrace our visions, and its harmony with the North Node helps us balance our vision with our intuition. Our conscience is well-developed, and we want to help others. We’re more inclined than usual to believe in the power of the group.

This transit increases our desire to connect with like-minded people or those who can help push us toward growth and improvement. We might form relationships with others who broaden our horizons, expand our minds or worldviews, or deepen our personal philosophy. We seek more meaning in life. It’s a fine time for guiding and learning. Harmonizing through emotional connections or shared emotional experiences can figure very strongly at this time.

While with Jupiter in hard aspect (square) to the North Node, our spiritual lessons may have been a little jarring, they come in prettier packages or in the form of gentler events with this Jupiter-Node harmonious influence.

The symbols for Jupiter, square aspect, and Chiron in green on a background of randomized symbols

Jupiter square Chiron

Jupiter’s square to Chiron can find us yearning for meaning and understanding, yet it’s a daunting task to align with a personal philosophy or belief system that authentically mirrors our core. Beliefs and ideas might lead us astray, or we could be confronted with a crisis of faith. It’s not uncommon for something to occur that challenges our fundamental beliefs, leaving us in a state of disarray or confusion.

There may be instances where we feel isolated in our opinions, visions, or future plans, as others may not understand our vision. Past decisions that once seemed wise may now appear questionable. We might encounter a person or obstacle that disrupts our lives, but these experiences ultimately serve as crucial lessons in self-belief and understanding our purpose.

It is of utmost importance to delve within ourselves and gain a deeper understanding of our true needs and beliefs during this period. Mindlessly following something that doesn’t serve our purpose can lead us astray. Before embarking on new business endeavors, it’s crucial to pause and reflect. This is a time for reorganizing and reassessing our goals, beliefs, path, and personal philosophy. It’s best to watch for overdoing and overcompensating.

Jupiter in Cancer (June 9, 2025, to June 30, 2026) and Business/Career Under the influence of Jupiter in Cancer, we are encouraged to focus on our personal needs for warmth, care, nurturing, and close connection. Professional successes also tie in with these themes.

During this cycle, we value our families, loved ones, homes, and close-knit groups more than usual. It follows that products and services that emphasize the family unit, fundamental and unconditional love, warmth, the hearth, and a harmonious home life can be in demand.

During the Jupiter in Cancer cycle, our work preferences are influenced by our desire for security and familiarity. This astrological influence underscores the importance of connection, genuineness, and supportiveness in our professional lives and business pursuits. It may inspire us to create outstanding products for the home and family, with the goal of achieving increased freedom, space, humor, and optimism within the home.

This can be a time when people are more likely to indulge their need for familiar places, spaces, and faces. We also seek products that keep us feeling loved, nurtured, supported, safe, and protected. We might especially value products and services featuring simple, heartwarming, or traditional features, perhaps in new ways.

Businesses that are friendly and caring are held in higher esteem now, whether there are increased benefits or not. Whether something lasts in the long-term and appeals to our sentimentality or nostalgia is more important to us than a one-off exciting experience.

During the Jupiter in Cancer cycle, success in business is often linked to listening, safety, and comfort. The joy of putting down roots can be a significant factor in business success.

Business people and businesses that are ready to care, interact, and appeal to our nostalgia, family-loving ways, or sentimentality can thrive now. People, in general, may want more space and room at home during this period. While memory and common sense are more strongly valued in business, a caring approach can also be in demand in a general sense. Those who possess these Cancer traits and qualities are well-equipped for the opportunities that Jupiter in Cancer brings. People who are dedicated, loyal, and involved may be more employable.

What qualities are most in demand and desirable during this period? Employers and businesses are looking for people who are able to make customers and clients feel included and cared for.

We’re less interested in products and services that appeal to our intellect and more fascinated by and drawn to those that stir our emotions and sincerity. Promotional materials might appeal to the heart more than the head at this time. It’s a time to emphasize warmth, longevity, loyalty, sincerity, and simple ways to connect or better enjoy our domestic world.

Jupiter in Cancer (June 9, 2025, to June 30, 2026) and Relationships/Love

Jupiter in water sign Cancer brings a general philosophy of life that emphasizes making deep, sincere connections. We seek people who are genuine, emotionally in touch, and family-oriented. Sincere partners become more attractive than flashy ones.

Jupiter in Cancer brings a sense of joy and abundance in primary bonding, family, comfort, and security. We tend to value these things strongly during this cycle that lasts until June 30th, 2026.

During this Jupiter in Cancer cycle, we place strong emphasis and value on the emotions and instincts to nurture. We attract the most good fortune when we are sympathetic, charitable, use our powers to save and accumulate, and comfort others.

We should certainly watch for sticking too close to home or to all that is familiar at the expense of other life departments, eating too much (comfort food), smothering others, pampering ourselves, enabling bad habits in loved ones, manipulative and roundabout behaviors, and clinging behaviors. Excessive clannishness is also a potential problem.

However, it’s a good time to emphasize family and loving connections and to honor and reinforce needs for comfort, familiarity, and safety.

There can be an emphasis on connecting in intimate ways and being emotionally present as a big part of our relationship goals. Getting in touch with our own need for nurture and desire to support others can be healthy and magical, ultimately benefiting our relationships.

We could very well see more breakups than usual happening over whether or not a partner is emotionally engaged enough. With Jupiter in Cancer, our philosophy of life alters considerably. We value safety, familiarity, comfort, and responsiveness and might want to set down roots or emphasize the home and family with our partners.

We might also place more value on relationships that keep us feeling safe, secure, and comfortable. Relationships themselves may be seen as a vehicle through which we can gain a stronger sense of comfort and familiarity.

While Pluto is working to transform our values in the long term, Jupiter has a more immediate effect on our value system. With Jupiter in Cancer for parts of 2025 and 2026, our attitude towards partnering can emphasize emotional compatibility and interest, and if partnerships hold us back from personal growth and happiness, it becomes more glaring.

For greater success in love and relationship while Jupiter transits Cancer, it’s a time to showcase your sentimentality, warmth, nurturing and protective qualities, and orientation toward family. We’re less impressed with an excessive focus on the mental or material world as we are on the emotional world and profundity, and we don’t find variety as attractive. We value partnerships and connections that leave us feeling more secure and comfortable.

Jupiter in Cancer

Jupiter spends many months in the sign of Cancer, staying a little over a year in the sign. The last time Jupiter transited Cancer was from June 2013 to July 2014. What we started during the last Jupiter-in-Cancer period is now enjoying a Jupiter return — it’s going through a rebirth, of sorts — so that it might blossom, increase, or require adjustments in order to grow further.

Before then, Jupiter was in Cancer from July 2001 to August 2002, July 1989 to August 1990, August 1977 to December 1977, April 1978 to September 1978, February 1979 to April 1979, September 1965 to November 1965, May 1966 to September 1966, and January 1967 to May 1967, and more.

If you have Jupiter in Cancer in your natal chart, then YOU are enjoying a Jupiter return. You’re enjoying some bounties, but you’re also seeing possibly more promising directions, paths, or projects. It’s a time to start projects or activities that lead to greater fulfillment.
