Background:
- I am at the last stage of an application for a full-time military job
- A medical issue has come up and they have taken issue with it
- Normally, people with this are rejected immediately
- The medical officers seem open-minded, they’ve allowed me to speak to my specialist to find out if I would be suitable for deployment or not
- I have contacted my specialist, I’m waiting on her to set something up
- The specialist recently was very helpful to me, wants me to do well, but I’ll be asking potentially a lot from her
- She offered to write a letter before, that’s what I need now
- I am working in the military part-time currently, they gave me a lot of positive feedback in the room during the medical review
- The medical officer hinted that I could, possibly, face an initial rejection, he said if that happens then he thinks I’ve good merit to appeal
I asked the horary question: Will I Get This Job?
I’m experimenting with both traditional and modern astrology, so I’m open-minded to see what works best for me.
ASC 10 degrees Sagittarius, Jupiter rules me, in 8th house Cancer
MC 13 degrees Libra, Venus rules Job, Venus in 9th house Virgo
Mars is general significator for War, it is placed in 10th house of Scorpio
Moon 13 degrees Scorpio, 11th house
Jupiter and Venus do not aspect
Jupiter is exalted in Cancer and in the domicile of the Moon. I think that means that I’m a good candidate. In the 8th house, I’m not sure?
Venus in 9th – the crux of the concern of the medical officers is would I be medically-ok while deployed abroad in a war zone. 9th house may be reflecting this. Venus has no applying aspects. Venus in Virgo – I don’t want to assume that that means that the job is ‘bad’ that may be something else. But Virgo – medical scrutiny.
Moon – not happy in Scorpio, possibly reflects my emotional turmoil. This has a real chance of destroying my career ambitions. Moon makes 2 more aspects before leaving the sign, one is immediately applying to trine Jupiter (me), then it will finally trine Saturn.
Other Actors…
Mercury is conjunct the MC. That may represent the medical officers (x2), I thought that they were fair, just, very diplomatic, this is Libra. Mercury and Venus have mutual reception by domicile. Mercury applies to sextile the ASC in 2 degrees. In a way, that’s weird to me, I’m not waiting on the medical officers to do something for me, they are waiting on me… I’m not sure what’s coming.
Mars as Lord of War in 10th (appropriate) in domicile is very strong and angular. But it doesn’t seem to connect much with the rest of the chart.
Saturn. Saturn may be a big help – in Pisces, it is in the domicile of Jupiter and the exaltation of Venus. Saturn receives us both. Saturn is in the 3rd house of Pisces, retrograde (exactly conjunct my natal MC at 28 degrees…)
I’m hoping that the Moon’s aspects help, Saturn receives Job and Me. Mercury and Venus exchange reception by domicile.
A Fool’s Hope??
Whatever happens, I always come back and update. If other people are gracious enough to give us their time – I do my bit and update, it also adds to our knowledge of astrology; the outcomes.
