The most obvious aspect is the New Moon exactly opposite Pluto. The Sun is in its domicile sign in Leo. The sun being about vitality, the life force, the beating heart, what shines the brightest. Pluto being about death, the lord of the underworld, darkness.
The opposition being about both sides of the spectrum, life force being on one side, endings on the other. That it’s a New Moon too, the Moon is not visible and submerged in darkness, adds to the Pluto. But also as it’s a New Moon, the light (Leo) will start to emerge.
It could be interpreted in many ways. Something, some aspect of your life has to end, for a new aspect to be born out of it. This could also be like the phoenix rising from the ashes of destruction, to be rebuilt anew.
Death, inevitably, and regeneration seems to be a strong theme. It could be about the death (Pluto) of an old identity (Sun) or the ego. Metaphorically of course, but in a few cases it may be literal deaths. Leaving one life, to enter the next phase.
If you notice the Death card in Tarot, also the 10 of Swords, there is always a sunrise in the background. This suggests the old saying of, its always darkest before dawn. Out of every ending is always a new beginning. After loss and pain (Pluto), there is always the promise of a bright new future (Aquarius).
Also to note, the New Moon is part of a cradle aspect. A trine to Saturn/Neptune Aries, a sextile to Uranus Gemini, whilst Pluto trines Uranus, and sextiles Saturn/Neptune.
They are all outer planets, so it strongly suggests its a major or collective theme, or one that takes on bigger prominence in your life. They are the planets that will stand by in support, and assist in whatever transformation needs to play out with the New Moon/Pluto opposition. “Cradling” it, as it were.
Additionally, we have Mars conjunct the South Node Virgo. The South Node shows what is in excess, but also a decrease, what is a familiar or outworn pattern, the past. Mars is about severance, cutting out, separating energies.
This adds to the Pluto themes of transformation and rebirth, an old cycle coming to an abrupt end.
