The planets are trying to manifest their meanings. If they can do that well or not depends on their placement and aspects. A planet can be supported by its location and aspects, it can be counteracted by its location and aspects, it can have a mix of support and counteraction or it can be in a position without support or counteraction. This creates a sort of storyline through which the planets are traveling and interacting with each other, but this can manifest itself in different ways.

For example. You could have a strongly supported Venus (goddess of love). This could be an inner reality meaning that you have a strong Venusian personality in general or a Venusian style of feeling and behaving in specific life domains. It could be an outer reality meaning your partner – or people you are attracted to- have Venusian qualities. It could mean that you experience a certain ease and graciousness in the part of your life with which your Venus is connected (something like flow instead of struggle). Or it could mean that your love life in general will somehow be happy, because Venus signifies both love and luck. This could mean meeting the right people or finding yourself in circumstances that are beneficial for your relationships. There can be lots of little things that strongly affect our relationships indirectly, without being directly a part of it. So we need a little bit of luck as well. Maybe that’s why Venus signifies both.

Your Venus struggles with Mars (god of war). This can be an inner reality, meaning there could be Mars-tendencies in your mind or heart. Mars is about speed, action and competition. This could mean you have a certain restlessness or feeling a kind of inner pressure to act or to prove something (to yourself or others), which may be at the expense of your Venus. This struggle could also be external, which possibly suggests having a partner who has some strong Mars qualities. It could also symbolize having relationships in which Mars qualities overrule Venus, meaning something like having disagreements, being angry with each other, making rash decisions, not feeling connected, having competitiveness play a role and things like that. It could also mean that Mars somehow hinders or blocks your Venus which can make it difficult to finding the right people, connecting with them and/or maintain stable relationships. In the way Venus can signify a certain luckiness in life and love, Mars can signify having some bad luck.

That’s why I thought it could be wise to try to be careful not to let the softer Venus qualities of yourself or your life be overwhelmed by Mars, who you might encounter within yourself, through others or in events that could happen, which are beyond your control.
