1. You can look at Venus, the 5th and the 7th house for indications about your love life in general. This can contain clues about your partner, but it is always difficult to figure out what is general and what is specific information. For example: having Jupiter in the 7th house can be an indication of your attitude towards love, it might mean being lucky in love in general, but it could also mean that your partner will have strong Jupiterian qualities.
2. According to psychological astrology the whole chart reflects psychological qualities, but because of certain reasons (biological, cultural or other) we more easily identity with some planets and less easily with other planets. There can be a tendency for men to identify less with the moon and Venus and for women to identify less with the sun and Mars. In order to experience a sort of personal integration we gravitate towards partners who complete us, meaning: they express certain planetary energies which we find difficult to express ourselves. So you look at the moon and Venus in a man’s chart and the sun and Mars in woman’s chart.
3. There is a technique in which you start from a specific house and read the chart as if that was the 1st house for that topic. In this case you can start from the 7th house of relationships. This means that the 8th house becomes the 2nd house: the income of the partner. The 9th house becomes the 3rd house: the siblings of the partner. The 10th house becomes the 4th house: the home or parents of the partner. Et cetera. Using this technique, you have to read the chart in a general way. For example: Jupiter in the 8th house becomes Jupiter in the 2nd house of your partner. This will be indication of a certain luckiness of your partner when it comes to generating income.
I am not fond of sharing a lot of personal things on the internet, but what I can say is that my partners chart and mine have some very interesting matches when using the techniques that I mentioned. When we met (quite some time ago) I did not know anything about astrology – except for my sun sign – so these correspondences are not something that I could have – subconsciously – looked for.
