This Month’s Astrology October 2025

On October 6th, a Full Moon occurs in the sign of Aries, reminding us to consider how we are honoring ourselves in the context of our close relationships. New revelations can occur now, particularly regarding our physical bodies, leadership skills, ability to initiate and begin new things, and close partnerships.

On the 13th, Pluto stations and turns direct, after retrograde motion since May 4th. Intensity is with us in the days (and perhaps weeks for people sensitive to this shift) surrounding this date with a strong focus on ambition and the need to feel empowered. Over the coming weeks and months, the power to make deep changes in our lives becomes more insistent and direct (less internalized). On October 21st, the New occurs in Libra, prompting a new beginning. It’s a time for taking charge of our relationships and giving them their due attention, as well as working on our negotiation and partnering skills. The resolution of conflicts is in focus and the objective.

Because this lunation is square Jupiter and Pluto, we should watch for exaggeration and excess. However, we do need a fresh start. Shooting too high or too far won’t help us achieve our goals sooner. Read more about this New Moon on its calendar page.

On October 22nd, retrograde Neptune returns to the sign of Pisces, and will finish up its transit of Pisces by January 26th, 2026. Neptune turned retrograde while still in the sign of Aries on July 4th, 2025.  Now, while still retrograde, Neptune returns to the sign of Pisces–its last visit before moving on. On October 23rd, Jupiter forms a square with Chiron. It’s the first in a set of three in an approximately nine-month period while Jupiter is in Cancer and early Leo. During the period influenced by this outer-planet transit with its longer-term effects, we may find ourselves yearning for meaning and understanding; yet, it’s a daunting task to align with a personal philosophy or belief system that authentically reflects our core. Beliefs and ideas might lead us astray, or we could be confronted with a crisis of faith. It’s not uncommon for something to occur that challenges our fundamental beliefs, leaving us in a state of disarray or confusion. We could feel isolated in our opinions or plans, as others may not understand our vision. Past decisions that once seemed wise may now appear questionable, or we might encounter a person or obstacle that disrupts our lives. Still, these experiences ultimately serve as important lessons in self-belief and understanding our purpose.

It’s best to look within ourselves to gain a deeper understanding of our true needs and beliefs during this period. Mindlessly following something that doesn’t serve our purpose can lead us astray. Before embarking on new business endeavors, it’s better to pause and reflect. This is a time for reorganizing and reassessing our goals, beliefs, path, and personal philosophy, while being mindful of overdoing and overcompensating.
