- And … why me?
So let’s dive right in, shall we?
What exactly is karmic debt?
Karmic debt may not be what you think. Before you incarnated, you sat down with pen in hand—and drafted a soul agreement for your next lifetime. You reflected on your previous life and identified areas where you didn’t quite hit the mark. In doing so, you chose to take on the opportunity to grow and do better in this lifetime, and one way to do that was by including a karmic debt number in your Soul Signature™ Numerology chart.
The karmic debt numbers provide you with challenges that will help you to overcome the debt you created in your previous lifetime. For example, the 13 karmic debt exists because you weren’t disciplined in your previous lifetime. You were lazy. You took the easy way out and often didn’t finish what you started. The influence of the number 13 in this lifetime will remind you to stay focused and disciplined while developing a great work ethic.
How do you know if you have a karmic debt?
When the numbers 13, 14, 16, or 19 show up on your chart, they’re signals that you’ve returned to make amends for some unfinished business or less-than-ideal behavior in a past life.
But here’s the thing—karmic debt isn’t punishment, even though it may feel like it sometimes. It’s actually your soul’s way of saying, “I get it. I was a badass in a previous lifetime. I’m here to clean up the mess I made.”
Where can you find karmic debt in your Numerology chart?
Karmic debt can show up in your life path number which is based upon your date of birth. This is often the most intense place for it to show up because the life path number relates to the lessons you have chosen to learn. A karmic debt life path number is kind of like a life path number on steroids.
It can also show up in your Expression number, which is based on your full name on your birth certificate. When your expression number is a karmic debt, it typically affects your career.
When karmic debt shows up as your Heart’s Desire number, it will influence the things and people you are passionate about.
Your “day” of birth can also hold a karmic debt number.
It is also possible to have karmic debt ‘cycles’ show up on your chart. When this happens, it doesn’t mean you have a karmic debt that will influence you all your life. It means there will be some karmic influence during a certain period. So, you can relax ‘cuz this shit doesn’t last too long!
But why you?
I know what you’re thinking, “Why on earth would I choose this? Pause while I duck for cover! But seriously, you did choose it. The truth is everyone has karmic debt.
Think about it: why would you sign up for another round of Earth school if there wasn’t something you needed to work on? And yes, Earth school is tough! That said, not all karmic debt shows up as a number in your chart.
And let’s clear up a common misconception here. Karmic debt doesn’t follow the ‘eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth’ rule. This isn’t a scorecard where if someone wronged you in a past life, you get to even the score in this one. That’s not how it works! Instead, karmic debt is about growth, evolution and balance. It is never about revenge.
Remember … what you resist will persist. Let’s kick this crap to the curb once and for all!
