A brand new lunar year is here — and with it comes fresh energy, and a powerful reminder that every new cycle carries within it the seeds of something extraordinary.
My 10 year old told me just this morning as she got ready for school, “Mama, I love new year…. it’s a fresh start”
FRESH START.
For you. For me.
So how will the Year of the Horse be for you?
The Year of the Horse is one of momentum. Of bold moves. Of those who back themselves and go.
And that feels especially fitting for where we are right now.
Yes, the world feels a little uncertain. Markets are shifting. People are cautious. And that’s okay — it’s human to pause when the path ahead feels unclear.
But here’s what history keeps proving, over and over again:
Every major economic shift mints a new generation of winners. It’s not uncommon to hear that there are many of the biggest companies that we know of now and most of them would have been during a recession when the rest of the world got stuck in fear and worry.
The 2008 crash, for instance, gave birth to Airbnb, WhatsApp, and Instagram.
The COVID disruption accelerated an entire decade of digital transformation in two years – for instance the rise of Tiktok and its celebrities. And I personally know MANY people who built their business off of tiktok and have essentially built their own ATM machine now.
And right now? We are sitting inside one of the most powerful technological revolutions in human history. AI, automation, and digital tools have made the cost of starting, scaling, and reaching a global audience lower than it has ever been.
Surprising? No. There’s A LOT of fire energy this year so this development is par for the course.
But with the heat of so much fire, this year’s chart doesn’t have any water at all which means for those who don’t know how to capitalize on the opportunities and minimize challenges, this could be a tricky year – but that’s only IF they don’t know how to capitalize on the opportunities and minimize challenges!
So here’s a reminder for all of us.
In Feng Shui, we don’t fight the current — we understand it, align with it, and let it carry us further than force ever could. The right energy at the right time is more powerful than any amount of grinding against the grain.
So as you step into this new lunar year, ask yourself honestly:
→ Are you waiting for certainty, or are you positioning for opportunity?
→ Are your decisions aligned with where you want to be — or shaped by where you’re afraid of ending up?
→ Are you using every tool available to you, or playing by rules that no longer apply?
Progress means needing to create momentum. And how can we build momentum?
Commit. Adapt. And move with intention.
With those ingredients, you have the recipe to a gangbuster year when everyone else
May this year bring you the courage to gallop when others hesitate, the clarity to spot what others miss, and the strength to build what others only dream about.
Gong Xi Fa Cai. Let’s make it count ( or as my business accountability buddy would say, “Let’s F*in GOOOO” !!!!
To your best year yet,
