7th July – 7th August 2026
Tolerance and diplomacy are important this month of July as the Quarrelsome No 3 Star flies into the CENTRE, potentially making everyone grumpy and irritable. Minor disagreements can turn into serious disputes if you don’t keep your calm. Avoid conflict as much as you can, as the No 3 Star can lead to court cases and could irreparably damage your relationships if you are not careful. It is best to keep the CENTRE area quiet this month.
Other negative influences are in the WEST, SOUTH and SE, where misfortune, loss and illness energies reign. Please be careful and read on for this month’s recommendations.
The luckiest sectors this July are the NE, NORTH and EAST, with completion luck in the NE, wealth luck in the NORTH and success luck in the EAST.
The Flying Stars chart below shows nine fields, each containing two numbers. The big number on the left of each field represents the annual star (red = afflictive, black = auspicious) and the smaller number on the right represents the current monthly star. These smaller numbers change every month and therefore create new energy patterns in your home and office.
To apply these monthly stars successfully, you need to map out the compass sectors in your home or office. If you are not yet familiar with the compass orientations of your home, I recommend you take two compass readings as follows:
- one compass reading from your main door, looking out, and
- another reading from the center of your living room, looking towards your balcony or picture window
These two readings should enable you to determine the compass directions and locations of your home, so you can ascertain which stars fly into which area.
Please take particular note of the location of your main entrance and your master bedroom, as the stars in those sectors will affect you the most. For those of you who work from home, the location of your home office/work station at home is obviously also important.

SOUTHEAST (9/2)
There is illness energy in the SE this month, causing bad health or leading to low energy levels. Those spending a lot of time in the SE and people born in the Years of the Dragon or Snake are particularly affected and may find it harder to stay motivated.
To counter the No 2 Illness Star, you can display a 9 Prosperity Wu Lou or a Sky Bat in your SE. To lift the energy, you could also display a Sky Unicorn, especially if you are feeling low.
Elderly people are particularly susceptible to the energies and should not sleep in a SE bedroom this month.
For additional protection, you can carry a Triple Blessings Wu Lou Amulet or a 5 Blessings Wu Lou Amulet while you are out and about.
SOUTH (5/7)
The No 7 Star brings danger of burglary, betrayal and financial loss to the SOUTH. Be careful who you trust and avoid putting yourself into situations where you might get deceived. It is best not to spend too much time here this month and keep the area as quiet as possible.
You can suppress the negative energies with the Active Rhino & Elephant pair placed in the SOUTH this month next to your 5 Element Pagoda. If your bedroom is in the SOUTH, it would be good to carry a Peacock Feather Amulet for protection against loss and hidden enemies or a Rooster Amulet to protect you from backstabbing and office politics.
If you are born in the Year of the Horse and travel a lot, carrying a 28 Hums Safety Talisman will help to keep you safe.

SOUTHWEST (7/9)
The No 9 Star has a positive influence in the SW and supersedes the dangerous energies of the annual No 7 Star. This is good news for those of you who live in a SW-facing home or have their bedroom in the SW.
To make the most of the auspicious energy of the No 9 Star, you can display a Period 9 Tortoise here.
Those who live in a SW room and people born in the Years of the Sheep or Monkey can carry a No 9 Twirling Wealth Amulet for an extra boost to wealth luck this month.
EAST (8/1)
The EAST is a very lucky sector this month, enjoying wonderful victory luck thanks to the No 1 Victory Star. This is the perfect place to activate if you find yourself in a competitive situation and would like to emerge as a winner.
To activate the No 1 Star, you can display a Victory Flag or a Trinity of Horses Charm in your EAST.
If you are aiming for a promotion, the Fly on Monkey on Horse is a very powerful activator.
CENTRE (1/3)
The Quarrelsome No 3 Star flies into the CENTRE, affecting everyone in the household. Choose your words carefully, because small misunderstandings could very easily turn into massive arguments. It is best to keep this area as quiet as possible this month, as excessive noise could aggravate the No 3 Star and activate its hostile energies.
An easy cure to subdue the No 3 Star is to strengthen the fire element, e.g. with bright lights and/or red accessories. You can also display Ksiddigarabha’s Fireball & Staff or a Peace Hanging with Red Tassel. Everybody would benefit from carrying Ksiddigarbha’s Fireball Amulet this month for protection against conflict, office politics and gossip.

WEST (3/5)
The WEST is very troubled this month, with the No 5 Misfortune Star coming together with the aggressive annual No 3 Star. This combination brings danger of sudden health problems, business failure and serious arguments. It is important to subdue these energies before the start of the month, especially if you live in a WEST-facing house.
To neutralise the No 5 Misfortune Star, you need to display a Heart Sutra Pagoda or a 5 Element Pagoda in your WEST. Those staying in a WEST bedroom should carry a Heart Sutra Pagoda Talisman this month. If your (home) office is located in the WEST, I highly recommend placing a mini Heart Sutra Pagoda on your desk.
NORTHEAST (4/6)
Heaven luck shines in the NE, which particularly benefits those born in the Years of the Ox or Tiger and the youngest son of the family. In addition, the stars form the potent “Sum of Ten”, helping you complete your tasks and projects with success. This is an area, where you want to spend more time in this month to benefit from its positive energy.
To boost chances of a promotion and success luck in your career, you can display Ksiddigarbha on Chi Lin.
To activate completion luck, display the Perfect Ten Enhancer.
If you are struggling with lack of inspiration, you can display a Saraswati Mini Plaque here and carry a Saraswati Swan Amulet.

NORTH (6/8)
Luck continues to be strong in the NORTH, with increased money luck and recognition at work. The 6/8 star combination promises financial windfall opportunities, but the No 8 Star must be activated.
To do so, you can display a Lap Chun Wealth Tree (but not in a bedroom) or a Three-Legged Toad with Giant Pearl, especially if your main door is located in the NORTH.
If you spend a lot of time in the NORTH, you need to look out for your health though, because the No 8 Star also brings health risks now that we are in Period 9. For protection, you can carry a Sky Deer Spirit Essence Amulet or a Triple Blessings Wu Lou Amulet. This recommendation also applies to people born in the Year of the Rat.
NORTHWEST (2/4)
The No 4 Star brings romantic and academic success to the NE, making this a great place for students to study.
To boost academic success, you can place a Saraswati Mini Plaque here.
If you are looking for love and romance, you can display a Peach Blossom Peony Love Box instead. However, the elements of the two stars clash, which could affect married couples as it can cause unnecessary arguments between the two. As a precaution, you can carry a Dragon & Phoenix Amulet this month.
